Having checked this place out on tripadvisor and seen lots of excellent and very good ratings was totally stunned to find it is actually a glorified bed and breakfast place that Basil Fawlty would be proud of. Having noticed it was a Christian run establishment, was looking forward to some kind and considerate, understanding, tolerant and relaxing atmosphere and treatment,... More

Perhaps we should have been more careful in our research, but the pictures looked beautiful and the hotel is indeed situated in beautiful grounds. What the website does not tell you is that this is essentially a Christian Retreat, providing "awaydays" for similarly minded groups. Thus although while we hoped for a gourmet country house dinner accompanied by fine wines,... More

I stayed as a single guest at this hotel and found the surroundings very pleasant. A sunny evening was enhanced by a the water running through the gardens. The public areas were very country house and my room (a superior double was comfortable with easy chairs in the bay and writing desk adjacent to the bathroom. TV was small. Dinner... More

A lovely setting for the hotel. We really enjoyed the grounds and the location was so convenient for many lovely places. We also enjoyed the swimming pool which we had to ourselves on several occasions. The Lodge we stayed in could have done with a bit of updating and a bigger television! ( It was Wimbeldon week)-but the staff were very... More

great find fab pool good breakfast nothing fancy and a bit dated but ideal for a short stay to explore the area. If I was to stay again i'd book one of the wood lodges they looked lovely and right next to the pool. Although this hotel is run by a christian guild it is very open to all

I recently stayed at this hotel with my wife and booked it through the internet. I was very disappointed, having paid 5 star prices the hotel turned out to be of 2 star quality (stayed in the Marriott Bristol the night before for less). To say its dated is paying it a compliment. The hotel is located in a very... More

I would recommend this amazingly tranquil country retreat to anyone wanting peace and quiet in a beautiful setting. The rooms are clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. There is an indoor swimming pool with a children's pool alongside it (towels supplied at no extra cost). The restaurant serves excellent food with good range of choices. Many interesting... More

It has been a long time since i have been in this area(more brecon beacons) and the first time I have done so as a leisure activity, This was my first chance to see and appreciate the wonderful views around. The Lindors Hotel is excellent value and a great location to visit all areas around.

Our satnav could not cope with this place and we began to wonder if it existed especially as their signage only faces one way. But what a lovely spot. Comfortable room - bathroom the same size! Good food but (because of Christian ethos?) no proper bar and we weren't aware there was a wine list. Wifi poor too. But overall... More

Set in beautiful gardens, this peach of a hotel is so relaxing. Wonderful food, and yes, drinks are available - you just have to ask. Staff so friendly and although there is no mobile phone signal on any network (sometimes a blessing!) there is free internet by ethernet cable in rooms and wifi in reception and lounge.
