Treated to a festive lunch by one of our family and found it a great experience. I would say it's old fashioned country elegance with a roaring fire and oak panels. The food and service we had was excellent. The everyday menu looked good and unlike many places did not pretend to be anything it isn't so no French nouveau... More

I visited Lindors over the Summer and I had a great experience. Although the bedroom was rather outdated, the bathroom was new, fresh and clean. The surrounding grounds are peaceful and beautiful. Swimming pool was also quiet and easy to access. If you're staying here you MUST visit Symonds Yat Rock; it is not a far drive away and has... More

We booked this hotel as it is convenient for family and didn't want to stay in a Premier Inn. Not that there is anything wrong with a Premier Inn we just wanted something different. We are a family of four, the room was spacious and comfortable, the communal areas were nice, the staff were attentive and friendly, the staff at... More

Once a beautiful property. Now, beautiful grounds but sad neglected hotel. Having arrived for a birthday weekend away, we were given a room at the top of the house, damp patches on the ceiling, paper peeling off the walls, tiny very basic shower room. We asked to change rooms, and were given another room, which to be fair was better,... More

Having checked this place out on tripadvisor and seen lots of excellent and very good ratings was totally stunned to find it is actually a glorified bed and breakfast place that Basil Fawlty would be proud of. Having noticed it was a Christian run establishment, was looking forward to some kind and considerate, understanding, tolerant and relaxing atmosphere and treatment,... More

Perhaps we should have been more careful in our research, but the pictures looked beautiful and the hotel is indeed situated in beautiful grounds. What the website does not tell you is that this is essentially a Christian Retreat, providing "awaydays" for similarly minded groups. Thus although while we hoped for a gourmet country house dinner accompanied by fine wines,... More

I stayed as a single guest at this hotel and found the surroundings very pleasant. A sunny evening was enhanced by a the water running through the gardens. The public areas were very country house and my room (a superior double was comfortable with easy chairs in the bay and writing desk adjacent to the bathroom. TV was small. Dinner... More

A lovely setting for the hotel. We really enjoyed the grounds and the location was so convenient for many lovely places. We also enjoyed the swimming pool which we had to ourselves on several occasions. The Lodge we stayed in could have done with a bit of updating and a bigger television! ( It was Wimbeldon week)-but the staff were very... More

great find fab pool good breakfast nothing fancy and a bit dated but ideal for a short stay to explore the area. If I was to stay again i'd book one of the wood lodges they looked lovely and right next to the pool. Although this hotel is run by a christian guild it is very open to all

I recently stayed at this hotel with my wife and booked it through the internet. I was very disappointed, having paid 5 star prices the hotel turned out to be of 2 star quality (stayed in the Marriott Bristol the night before for less). To say its dated is paying it a compliment. The hotel is located in a very... More
