We stayed here over the weekend, and enjoyed our accommodation. Room was nice, spacious and clean, My only gripe was the shower within our room, the fixture bracket was broken making it awkward to shower with, other than this the accommodation was excellent and I would definitely stay here again when visiting Halstead next. Staff were very friendly and the... More

Stated here a couple of nights and overall was pleasant enough. Plus's, friendly, clean, good food, plenty of coffee, tea, sugar, milk, large comfortable bed. On main road so there are plenty of shops and a couple other pubs/restaurants to go to for a change of scene. Antiques centre within walking distance. Minus's, for £65.00 pn I would of liked... More

We stayed overnight and had an evening meal here. Very comfortable beds - lovely thick mattresses - and a spacious room with character. The meal was delicious and the menu included some really imaginative dishes. Highly recommended.

Very comfortable and friendly atmosphere throughout our stay. The room was extremely comfortable and very spacious. We only had breakfast as a meal here but that was well presented and tasty. The full menu looked fantastic and we would expect to try several dishes from this on our next visit.

Staff couldnt have been more helpful and friendly especially hugo and the chief with the nice mum who was also having a meal. Food was delicious with huge portions. The eton mess, dessert, was to die for. Very good value for money. Will def be going back for the chiefs special cheesecake.

Didn't know the area so looked on tripadvisor and boy did we strike gold. My partner Shaun had the most amazing fish and chips EVER. The batter was so light and crisp and the freshest fish cooked to perfection. I don't know how he did his super chunky chips but they were amazing. I had whitebait which was also perfect.... More

I booked to stay at the White Hart as I was attending a wedding at Heddingham castle. Staff were excellent, very accommodating, they allowed us to check in early which meant we were able to get changed and arrive at wedding ready and refreshed. Room was a good size, bed was comfy, few niggles. Kettle did'nt work annoying, but these... More

This is the second meal we've had here with the new owners. All I can say is the food is amazing, staff brilliant. The Chef is fantastic and needs an award for the quality and quantity of the meals. Best food in Halstead and surrounding areas, we eat out a lot and I am a fussy eater, this takes some... More
