We were looking for somewhere special for our family to get together to celebrate my mum's 70th birthday. We hired Limekiln House last weekend for 6 adults and 4 children, and I can honestly say "special" does not begin to describe this place!!!!! From the intial enquiry to security deposit refund the owners were extremely efficient and helpful. We arrived... More

Not a sound to be heard other than the animals in the surrounding fields and the bird songs. Such a beautiful setting looking out over the hills. Lovely room with a very comfortable bed and a perfect breakfast. This is a friendly clean and happy place to stay. You can't help but envy the lifestyle of living in such a... More

We stayed here for five nights from the second week in September 2014. the double room was beautiful, very roomy with a wonderfully thick luxurious carpet . An impressive large bathroom with one amazing shower, and a big bath! Our room had two large windows with wonderful views over the countryside. The walk across the downs to Doodle Door is... More

Limekiln House is a lovely guest house; our host was Trish (unfortunately we didn't get to meet her hubby as he was away when we stayed) but she was so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The room was lovely, very comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities etc. The information her husband put together in a neat... More

A group of us stayed here for two nights while walking part of the South West Coastal Path. A very nice B&B in a beautiful and quiet setting. Ideal as a base for walking the SWCP or exploring the countryside, with footpaths starting outside the house. Friendly hosts, good breakfasts, nice rooms and excellent boot & jacket drying facilities (much... More

My friend and I were staying here for two nights the first week in October 2012. Found the twin room beautiful, very roomy with a wonderfully thick luxurious carpet which was lovely to walk on in bare feet. An impressive large bathroom with shower and a bath! You cannot find a more serene setting with great hosts than at Limekiln House. Trish and Rob make you welcome from the outset and the rooms are very comfortable, spaceous, well appointed and have great views over the valley's country setting. A really nice walk up the valley, about 1.5 miles, takes you up to the scenic views of Durdle... More

Just returned home after spending three days at Limekiln House as part of a special birthday celebration; quite simply, superb! A warm welcome from Trish and Rob, excellent accommodation, good recommendations for eating out etc., and great breakfasts to 'kick-start' the day.
