We too arrived mid-afternoon, and after inquiring of the owner where the 'accommodation' we had pre-booked, might be found, we too were shown to a medium sized outbuilding, resembling a demountable site office, comprising two 'masonette' flats, at the front of which which had been constructed an awning, over a narrow veranda. Our end, I immediately noticed, upon entering, was... More

My husband and I decided to stay up on Mt Tamborine Mountain as we feel Gold Coast can be a hectic at times. We arrived and we were greeted by the owners and their daughter. They showed us around and telling us a bit about the Art Gallery and Local Artists that they also have and are constantly changing(you can... More

We arrived in the middle of the day to be led to our Donga. Space only slightly larger then the bed and a tiny bathroom. It was very hot in our Donga so we turned the window rattler air con that hung over our bed head and made duck like noises at you. We proceeded to get ready before we... More

Very new but highly recommended. Lovely fresh style food and beautifully decorated. Local artists display in gallery. Very friendly service too. One of the rare places with a good view to the Gold Coast.

Location is excellent with magnificent panoramic views of the Gold coast hinterland and the coast. Service is very personal, and food scrumptious. The Art Gallery Cafe is unique and constantly changing. Ideal venue for weddings with the charming chapel available

Our visit was a last minute decision and the experience has been a lovely one. Our hosts could not be more engaging or more obliging. The views from the restaurant area are beautiful - with a clear view to the Gold Coast. Although Wongawallan is around 6 kilometres from the Gallery Walk at Tamborine, it is easy to get there... My partner and I stayed at this place in August. We found the couple who runs the place were very friendly and helpful. The place was very clean, the food good and there are nice views towards the Gold Coast from the dining room. We were a bit surprised that, being a B&B, the breakfast was not included. Our room... We booked a cabin at Hilltop on Tamborine as we didn't want to pay the extortionate rates that some places on the mountain seem to charge. On arrival we were upgraded to a room in the main house. Hilltop on Tamborine is essentially a bed and breakfast with the owners' home and an art gallery attached. The room was pleasant,... More

The guest book for Hilltop on Tamborine in packed with glowing comments and I can only say how well deservd they are. In desperate need of a break my wife and I needed somewhere near the Gold Coast that was quiet. I mistakenly thought this was a hotel when I made the reservations online but it didn't matter that we... More
