With a Jazz inspired decoration, this peaceful little hotel is perfect for an escapade. The room we had was very cozy with great views of the patio. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. The serve a huge breakfast including orange juice, migas, rolls, toasts and the drinks you want, such as coffee or cocoa. They told... We stayed in so many lovely hotels out of the center of towns. This one was nice, but not outstanding. It was quiet and the beds were comfortable. Parking is on the street, and not that difficult. The breakfast was disappointing: juice, coffee and packaged sweet rolls. It was a good choice for our sightseeing in Merida the next day.... More

We recently stayed one night in the Cerro Principe and it was certainly memorable. The jazz theme is unique and the décor is well done. We stayed in the Miles Davis room and found it to be quiet, very comfortable and clean. We dined in the restaurant for supper and the meal was excellent, one of the best we had... More

Cozy atmosphere, owner is a jazz lover, therefore the hotel has a jazz Atmosphere. Very clean and confortable. I chose this hotel for a Merida visit that is very close. I prefer to stay in these kind of small family runed hotels with more personal attention than big city hotels. Breakfast was OK. Could have been better for a place... More

I booked three nights at this hotel in mid-September. I chose 'the hotel rural' option thinking that it would be good to explore Merida during the day, and have some peace and quiet at night! The hotel details sounded wonderful...and it is extremely comfortable. However, no mention was made of the fact that the restaurant facilities described are seasonal. The... More

By a happy coincidence, we ended up spending the weekend at this rural hotel while trying to find accomodation in Merida during the Classic Theater Festival that takes place in summer. The hotel is located in an genuine small rural town 10 kms away from the city. There is nothing that announces the proximity of the hotel until your navigation... More
