First of all, the owner of this hotel, Mr. Levent Aslan is very communicative (by email). As a result I could reach the hotel easily and straight to the place. Mr Aslan is very very helpful and I can say his information about Amasya is just perfect. The room is good except that we have to go thru stairs to... More

Levent, the owner, and his father were born in this home that has been tastefully renovated into a charming comfortable place to stay while visiting the fabulous town of Amasya. Breakfast in the terrace restaurant with views of the mountains that surround the town after a very restful sleep - comfortable beds and pillows. Place very clean and homelike. Levent... More

As seasoned travelers we enjoy boutique hotels and this hotel is conveniently located, has all the amenities we required and is well decorated. The biggest draw card, however, is the owner Levent. His customer service is AMAZING. Cannot thank him enough for a wonderful time and showing us around Amasya and the district. He couldn't help enough and is a... More

Levent is one of the nicest people I've ever met.I would like to give him more than five stars for service :)) because he goes so far beyond what you can expect. He is so patient... More

The Melis was very clean and conveniently located in Amasya. We came with two five yr olds and a 67 yr old (5 total in two rooms). The staff is exceptional and quick to help. The breakfast was typical Turkish fair in a very quaint roof terrace. The hotel is interesting for its superb mix of antique decoration, giving it... More

We occasionally found this very cosy place and spent one night in amasya. The rooms are simple but very clean and nicely furnished. The breakfast on the rooftop is quite tasty and you have a nice view over the city. We were on a round trip with our own car and came up with a small issue on the next... More

Excellent service. A family business. People; the owners and the town people in general will go out of their way to help and make anyone feel comfortable. It is one Black Sea Region town that the true culture of Turkish people comes to life! Historically very rich. The hotel itself is decorated just like a museum! Well done Levent Bey... More

Melis Hotel is a charming gem. Originally the home of the Aslan family and remodelled into a hotel in Ottoman style, it is run by Levent, who picked us up personally from the bus terminal. His five-storey establishment is decorated with countless antiquities, some of which would not be out of place in a museum. Look closely at the wall... More

Great breakfast on their upstairs terrace. Super friendly owner. Hotel had a nice view of the mountains. Clean & simple rooms. Lots of old Turkish artifacts in the halls and hotel lobby add charm. Only negative is the rooms on the road side are a bit noisy.
