If you want to go to the Pearl Farm and stay at a structured luxury resort, do that. The Red Parrot in is a completely relaxing do whatever you want get away that caters to families, couples, single travelers and large parties. In fact we made friends from China, Switzerland, Lithuania, and Canada, and of course the Philippines during our... More

Last April 7 to 11, 2015, we've visited Island Garden City of Samal just to spend a bit time together with my siblings and cousins. I was amazed of the view and everything in this place. Before we went there, we did not expect so much about the place. we are just thinking that this place can be just a... More

I booked a cottage and I never expected it to be too big for a lone traveller - it can house up to 3 persons. Though facing the street, you need not to worry going to the beach because it's less that five minutes walk. Toiletries were missing or were just weren't included. There are 4 local channels in the... More

We stayed there two nights in a cottage facing the street. The cottage was small but very clean. We take our breakfast in the main pavillion facing the sea. The view from the restaurant is amazing. It is a very quiet place and the staff is very kind. The village also is very relax...no loud music, no karaoke like in... More

Staff were way nice especially the manager. Oscar, the talking parrot was really entertaining. The food was fine and internet was ok. Everything was just fine but really nothing special to that place. It is located in a place where you need a map and good tire car to navigate. It was not isolated though because there are residential neighbors... More

location stupendous. Staff very friendly. Private beach 10 steps away from bar. Reef all around so snorkeling very easy. Rooms cheap with all amenities bar hot water which u won't need anyway. Aircon would keep a polar bear comfy. huge lovely communal kitchen where one can cook ones delicious meals for a bit less than f-a. If I had to... More

First, be warned, this place is remote. The taxi from the main ferry terminal was $1000. I wanted to take side trips to the bat cave and waterfalls but it was not practical due to the distance. Also, it's in a little village with nothing of interest, no restaurants or entertainment. So you’re stuck with the hotel kitchen, which closes... More

The staff are nice, available and wanting to help, food is good and healthy, taking your breakfast from the veranda with the view on the sea is outstanding, rooms are confortable / decent (a possible, simple improvement might be to add a few hangers...) and there is good / free WIFI BUT: it is in Kaputian, close to the south... That's what it feels like, to be back home ! again I can echo what I wrote about in my first review, after travelling this wonderful country for many years this is by far the best hotel. Forget hotels where staff stand regimental dressed in ties and waistcoats where food and drink costs a small fortune or a large one... More

The staff is very friendly and happy to help you visit the island. The terrace makes it easy to meet and chat to other guests and the staff, or just sit, relax and enjoy the view over the ocean. The rooms are well equipped and clean. Sea facing rooms have great views. There's a very small private beach so swimming... More
