Isla Reta is one of my favourite places to go in Samal. Though the facilities are really basic but the beach is just exquisite! There is a market where you can buy fresh fish but if you like the local fisherfolks are quite happy to catch some fish for you. Scuba diving experience is to die for!

We've ended up staying at 1 bungalow (800 pesos/night) and 1 Nipa hut cottage (700 pesos/night), although we've booked 2 weeks prior for 2 bungalow cottage when we get there the staff were crammed like they don't expect guests were there already. Despite of the fact that they text us while we're on the way there for confirmation of our... More

Boat first trip is at 6am according to the information that we have gathered from the resort staff. 2nd trip is in between 9-9:30am. Trip going back to the city is only 3pm. Boat ride is Php80.00 one way. If you're not able to ride on that trip there are other boat rides on the dock next to isla reta... More

If you want to a place that keeps you away from the rest of the world, this is the place. Accommodation is limited but you can set up tent and camp by the beach. You can order food or check out the local market nearby for fresh catch, then have em cooked in the resort. Boat transfers are scheduled, so... More

Sand and water in this beach is very nice! a bit of broken corals but not so as you need to wear a pair of aqua shoes. You can have a dip near the shore in some areas during the afternoon without burning yourself since they have a lot of big trees and they face East. The beach is clean,... More

We've gone to this place several times because of it's relaxing view even if the staff is not as accommodating and friendly. Even if the food is not as good and the service is slow. But we will NEVER recommend this place to our friends because the owner himself do not know how to treat customers with RESPECT! Mr. Reta... More

It's a nice beach with clear blue waters. We stayed at the nipa nut for Php 800 because they lost our reservation. No bathroom, you have to use the common cr that doesn't offer fresh water, it's like rinsing in salty beach water. The staff are very accomodating. Food is not that tasty. Waited 3 hours for the boat.

They destroyed my weekend. I checked their boat Schedule in their FB page and I saw that boats are sailing daily at 09:00 & 10:00 Next day I was there early morning in order to get the first boat but I realized that the boat it was occupied by people that they don't have any reservation!!!!! So I was forced... More

the beach is very lovely what i don't like about the place is they don't use fresh water in their shower rooms. loved the shade of the tress in the beach front. you got your privacy if you stay in the cemented houses or cottages.
