The lodge is fantastically located - about 4 hour drive from Nairobi with most of the rooms offering a terrific view of the Kiliminjaro. Amboseli is a very unique park given it's large population of elephants and the sight of majestic elephants moving gracefully against the backdrop of the Kilimanjaro is just breathtaking! The rooms are very comfortable and tastefully... More

Met all the standards in terms of location, amenities, food, etc., etc. but the human dimension seemed to be wanting here - staff seemed adequately task-focused but didn't exhibit any of the warm, welcoming hospitality and generosity of spirit we encountered everywhere else. That's an important dimension on this kind of journey, making it hard to award this lodge an... More

The location of this hotel is great and it is beautiful - the rooms are not too bad (though ours had a terrible stench). The staff is homophobic and quite unkind. During our trip to Kenya, my partner and I fully respected Kenyan culture and social norms regarding homosexuality, avoiding public displays of affection, etc. When we arrived at this... More

We stayed one night with some friends in november 2013. Short rains had just sturted but we didn't experience any inconvenience. The lodge is beautiful, in a good position, the rooms are nice, clean and confortable. The welcome is good and the food as well. The roads in the park are very well maintained and you can drive comfortably. The... More

we enter the hotel at lunch and it was pretty good. There's monkeys all over the hotel and they could just be outside of your room. The rooms were clean. The staff were really nice. And the views were amazing.

Hotel is in a beautiful setting and the staff aimed to please. We were welcomed with a cold juice drink and towels and the facilities were very comfortable. Had a good view of elephants and zebras which were just on the other side of an electric fence. Expect a welcome committee of monkeys who would get very close and personal.... More

Beautiful setting and scenery, good food, excellent service. They have a team of very helpful staff that went out of their way to make our stay worth while, especially with the tiny tots. Send off cake was appreciated. Real value for money!!

In September of 2011 we visited this area in our trip to Kenya and Tanzania. Right outside the hotel property was elephants, zebras, and antelopes grazing peacefully, but don't worry there is a fence for safety. Off to the side was the magnificent Mt Kilimanjaro, but we never got to see the top as it continued to have cloud cover.... More

This was the last hotel of our stay, and the nicest of the game reserve hotels we visited. It was just beautiful, from the lobby to the rooms to the grounds. All around fabulous. The service was great, too. We loved the adorable monkeys running around the property.
