The Serena chain runs a very good line of hotels and this one is no different. The hotel is close to most of the springs that attract all of the animals in the park and the drive to see them is not long as opposed to those from outside the Park. Decent rooms, comfortable beds, ample baths, nicely decorated. The... More

This hotel is very safari-like designed and sits right next to a natural and beautiful pond. Although it is no luxury hotel, it offers great food, a fun pool and friendly staff members. I'd like to point out that this lodge offers game-drives at night - a prohibited activity in most national parks around this area!

Stayed for 4 nights in June when we had to abandon our trip to Mombassa. Rooms were fine and food very good however extras's such as drinks were far more expensive than the other lodges we stayed in. They also wanted to charge US$30 for a birthday cake for my hysband, again, other lodges provided this for free (and eventually... More

This is one of several Serena Lodges we visited during our trip to Kenya and Tanzania. It is located within Amboseli National Reserve, so it is an ideal base for wildlife viewing. The rooms are on the smaller side, not luxurious but nicely themed, clean and comfortable. Personally, I think that they could use a little updating, specially the bathrooms.... More

This was our first stop on our Kenyan holiday and was the best beginning. The lodge is lovely. It is not a very large one so the attention one receives is great. The staff is extremely courteous and there to help with all your needs. We are all Indian vegetarian and The food is good.. There are connecting rooms available... More

After driving 250km southwards from Nairobi it was a very pleasant and positive surprice arriving the lodge. Rooms were nice and bed was comfortable. The food was average, but still above expected. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Some Masai staff was a bit too direct and disturbing, but it was easy to ignore them. All in all a wonderful... More

This property is well within the National Park and the has wonderful views of zebras, wildebeest and other animals grazing in open view of the common areas of the hotel incl the cafeteria. Lovely swimming pool, excellent food, the chef even made us some local Kenyan specialities during our two night stay here on special request. Attentive staff, clean rooms... More

The Serena Lodge Hotel, inside the Amboseli Park is very, very far but worth all the travel. The place is very organised & they even have a fuel station. The welcoming committee are good, welcome drinks, cold clean wet towels, registration fast. Then you are brought to your own hut & it is magical. A compact room with colourful decorations... More

The location of the Serena in Amboseli was spectacular, with animals walking in front of you at sundown. The hotel is very old style and really need renovation. Doesn't have any particular atmosphere. We got lucky because we had a bigger room, but still it was very simple in decor and definitely lacked of atmosphere. We were kept awake by... More

Situated on the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest Mountain; beside a copse of giant Acacia trees and gently flowing natural spring.
