We loved our 4 night stay, great spot right on the beach, friendly staff, lovely food. Gus and Sandy are so friendly and welcoming, and happy to take you on a little tour of the area, or allow you to tag along when they run their errands, and give you a taste of local village life. We used Wayan for... More

Before booking here I read the "Terrible" reviews and discounted them all. What a great decision that was. I am not sure what their issues were but they must have stayed at another place to us!! Now if you're expecting anything other than a small homely, beachfront hotel with the most friendly local staff, you'll be disappointed. Villa Agung Beach... More

Villa Agung is located in one of the most beautiful and peaceful spots in Bali. A glass of wine at the sunset bar, right on the beach, while watching the sunset over Java with fishing boats in the foreground....it just doesn't get any better. This was our 4th stay at this tiny hotel, and we had 8 relaxing nights in... More

It was a great time there at Villa Agung. It is right at the beach and you can have your breakfast and massage with a sea view. The garden is tiny but nice. The staff there are very friendly. They help to call massage in and book dolphin tour of next day. Lucky to see so many wild dolphins there... More

The place is typical for 3-star hotel. I liked the beachfront private terrace overlooking the ocean, with massage lady offering me bali traditional massage, it was relaxing. I didn't like the cloudy and grey rose wine they served me at the restaurant thou. We smelled sewage water and heard Bahasa announcement done for a long time on a loud speaker... More

I regret the disturbance for our guests but I believe the chanting was from the fishing village nearby as a celebration for their temple. It only happens very occasionally and is part of Balinese culture. Villa Agung Beach Inn. More

At the risk of being redundant, the place is GREAT. During my year in Jakarta we made two trips; the first with my partner then a return by myself. Could I figure out out how to do it I'd spend at least 6 months a year here. Maybe next year. In the meantime I hope that they are not overrun... More

I had the opportunity to stay at Villa Agung in February for 4 nights. It was the slow season but you couldn't tell from the service or the condition of the property, rooms or restaurant. The room had very comfortable beds, stayed clean and the air conditioner made for quiet cool sleep. The locatoin right on the black sand beach... More

After visiting in 2012, I was fortunate to revisit in Feb 2014. The hotel is right on the beach making it easy to load on for the dolphin trip at dawn. The food is amazing and hosts extremely friendly. Rooms are great. My room had a fan and air conditioner. Immediately, I have always felt at home coming to Villa... More

When we stayed here in september this place had really bad reviews and we couldn't understand why because this place is great! We paid 200 000 rph with a room with fan, and where a bit anxious. But in Bali fan works great and this fan was awesome (lol). The pool is big and warm and the restaurant is ok.... More

Seriously - why would you bother sweating it out with the Aussie yobbos in Kuta/Legian when you could come up north and spend a week or two here? It had been 26 years since my then girlfriend / now wife and I had come back to Lovina. What a wonderful surprise to see it via the Villa Agung. You're right... More
