This was one of our favorite stays while in Bali! Villa Agung is RIGHT on the beach. The rooms face away from the beach (ours did anyway) and were set back away from the beach, but the open-air restaurant is right there. They have an upstairs deck on top of the restaurant that is great during the day to relax... More

We have stayed at Villa Agung many times and one of the main reasons is the position right on the water front and the food .Xmas day we took a group of 12 people for lunch . Some had not been there before but have since been back for meals. Sandy and Gus look after all customers very well and... More

We had 6 nights here and had the most relaxing and happy time. We arrived exhausted and by day 2 all the stresses had begun to unwind. The location is beautiful, right on the beach. Many relaxing hours were spent on the balcony watching the sea and the beautiful sunsets. The staff were amazing. Sandy and Gus are great hosts... More

This was the best place to stay during my trip! The hotel is lovely, relaxing and zenn! Its 2 km outside the centre but there are small local buses which get you there in no time for 5000 Rupiah. The owners, an American coupe, are the nicest. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are spacious. The hotel is... More

The hotel is situated near a busy road, the rooms terribly decorated and flies all over my face in my room. The sea is full of rocks, we did not like the food at all and the rooms are noisy. Lovina itself is quite depressing.

Spent 4 days at Villa Agung, Lovina Beach, Bali and what a treat! The owners Gus (originally from USA) and Sandy (originally from the Channel Islands) were welcoming hosts, full of local knowledge and were happy to sit and chat with the travellers. The local manager, Howard, got the weather forecast just right for our trip our to see the... More

Gus and Sandy, the owners are fantastic! We felt very pampered and it was just so relaxing. The restaurant was great and had good variety. Everything was neat and clean. 50 min walk to Lovina. Warning: the car ride from the airport to north Bali is extremely rough and you've got to have a strong stomach. Car sickness WILL occur.... More

I read alot and I became enamoured with this Hotel. It didn't disappoint at all... far from it. I loved the journey to Lovina, driving throught the mountainous countryside... A visit to the water temple over the lake made for a lovely break along the way. To be greeted by Sandy, who was a delight to correspond with and a... More

I can understand why people love this place because it has a lovely peaceful friendly vibe - however the beach didn't do it for us because it is only a tiny bay - you can only walk for about ten minutes before needing to go around boats/rivers/headlands etc, so it's not a place for people who love to walk on... I don't know what planet the other reviewers were on, but my 4 night stay here recently was truly the most awful experience I have ever had in all of my traveling experiences all over the world. The worst part was the extremely strong stench of sewer water coming out of all of the pipes in the bathroom. It was... More

Unfortunately, this lady was more attached to a wine bottle than reality! She stayed up until all hours imbibing. We couldn't gain access to her room to clean as she was always sleeping! She made several bookings for tours and cancelled later with short notice as she wasn't up to it. She accused my girls of theft which is absolutely... More
