This place was recommended by one of the locals and didn't disappoint, what a breathtaking rooms all decorated with shells. The owner, a 75 year old former bar/restaurant interior designer, has made this hotel his masterpiece. Never before we slept in such a beautifull place. Beds are comfortable, pool is convenient, breakfast is good and the owner is very much... More

During my trip on Bali, my plan was to stay a couple of days in the beautiful town of Lovina. In search of a hotel I ended up in this wonderful hotel that from the outside is decorated with all different kind of shells. When I entered the nice courtyard, here also the shells were omnipresent. My few days were... More

We stayed at this one-of-a-kind Resto in early November for 2 nights and enjoyed every bit of it! We stayed at Room 2 (?) the one facing the pool. It's roomy and has sufficient furniture to hold our luggages. The bed is comfy, the air-conditioner works well and the semi-open shower was good! We swam at the pool everyday and... More

We stayed in the smaller shell-room at Rattan Resto for four days. It was like stepping out of the daily stress and moving into a fantasy, made and designed by the creative Sijf, the owner. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast good and the swimming pool in the beautiful garden was very clean. It was not easy to leave... More

We stayed at Rattan Resto in August 2013 in the family apartment. The floor to ceiling decorations made us feel like we were in somewhere out of a fantasy novel. The pool was perfect and the hospitality provided by our host was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

Like all geniuses, the owner of the hotel is just a little big mad!! No one sensible and boring would ever decide to put so many sea shells everywhere! I lay in bed and calculated that there were in excess of 200,000 shells in one room alone. The floor is made of shells, the shower head is a conch shell,... More

We stayed in the family shell room, there are 3 big beds in two floors. The deco is so unique and special, I was amazed by the room! The owner is very friendly, we got welcoming soup and fresh fruit after check in. The swimming pool is also clean and nice. This is a place I'd visit again for my... More

I was admiring the shells all the time whether while bathing or sitting on the toilet (lol). The decorations were really unique but the same time makes upkeeping hard. Pieces dropped off and tiles were loose and cracked. It is not super comfortable but however if you want a unique experience you should stay here. Sijf the owner is very... More

Very nice hotel with beautiful and peaceful interior! 10 minutes to the Ocean beach and 3 minutes to disco) So hotel has a excellent location. Is's quiet despite that there are several bars with discos and live music near Rattan. Here is a small but very beautiful and good swimming pool, where you can swim 24h. It's comfortable that your... I have traveled all over the world but never seen something like this. What a unique, unreal, crazy and great place at the same time. When we arrived we were welcomed by a very friendly and helpful staff and although I had read about it I was deeply impressed when I could see this masterpiece with my own eyes. When... More
