As a first time traveller to Bali, the warm welcome made our first impression a wound earful experience of Bali. The room was wonderful, feeling like home and being able to let your guard down to relax and let yourself go. The spa treatment we chose was the 2hrs couple hot stone message - we have been to allot of... More

We've just left Damai after our second stay, and as before, the week was perfect. Set in a gorgeous valley with views to the Java Sea, the steep drive up to Damai belies a little piece of heaven amongst the trees. We were greeted like family and remembered many of the same friendly faces from our visit 18 months ago.... More

Of all the places in the world to be married, this must be the perfect one. Damai is a little piece of heaven on earth, all from the staff, to the beautiful pool villa and surrounding gardens. And the food in the romantic restaurant is alone worth the travel up the hill.

A fantastic stay, romantic setting, perfect for a honeymoon. Beautiful secluded villas, fabulous food, friendly staff, Management even gave us an upgrade and I would definitely recommend the pool villas. It is a costly stay but well worth it. The only minor complaint we had was the frequency of transfers to Lovina - the free shuttle does not operate very... More

Every member of the staff at the Damai gave perfect service in the most charming Bali way, and from that point of view the hotel was perfect. However our room, a beautiful pool villa called Raja, was showing signs of wear and some aspects needed updating. The pool needed re-painting, the plumbing needed an overhaul,as did the lighting and some... More

Thank you for the wonderful stay! The service is just brilliant. A private driver from the hotel fetched us in Denpasar. During the drive, he stopped wherever we wanted too, he really took his time and answered all our questions. We received a very warm welcome and our room was perfect. The hotel is located on the hills, not directly... More

The Damai is a special place. Its unlike any resort I’ve ever stayed at, private, lush and discreet. I stayed in the Dragon Master Villa. It incorporates beautiful antiques without feeling tired or dated. It was very distinctive. The bathroom deserves special mention for its magnificent wooden bench top, and huge bath with table. In places, there were signs of... More

The first thing you’ll notice is how far the villas are from city center. It is truly a private area, and we stayed in a pool villa, - Umah Dewi, where you are 100% private and undisturbed. We even got our welcome massage in our private villa. The staff is service minded and like the rest of the Balinese people... More

The Damai was absolutely everything we were looking for in a Balinese resort-stay. Everything is just perfect: bungalows, garden, restaurant, spa etc. The best holiday we ever had. All in all, we very much enjoyed our stay at the Damai - the setting of the hotel is lovely and it did feel like we were hidden away from the world.
