We stayed for two nights and felt like personal guests of the owner family. The Masseria is outlying and quietly situated. The rooms are simply but tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. During our stay we learned a lot about local culture, history and food and then owner Franco gave us plenty of good advice. Good breakfast based on local products.

We booked one night in this masseria but stayed for two, as we really liked the place. The masseria is set in a very quiet location, near vineyards and the gravina. The room we stayed in was huge, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean, with a good shower. The breakfast was good - fruit, yoghurt, cereal, bread,... More

The owner, welcomes you with figs and grapes. Rooms are renovated, and decoration is simple with plain, good and solid furniture. Shampoo and soap in large bottles. Breakfast if not so plentiful (fruit, Yogurt, bread, cheese and “Espresso” (with a smiling face, prepared by the owner) is served outdoors, and you may be escorted by his dog, and his young... More

Our stay did not begin well, as we got lost! Do NOT rely of SatNav, but on the helpful directions which Franco sends out. He very kindly came out to meet us to show us the way to his lovingly restored Masseria. Although not on the grand scale of some of the Masseria we have stayed in, it certainly has... More

The "Masseria La Gravina" is a very nice place where I found relax, nature and a lot of clever indications from the owner Franco about what to see, together with historical and archeological information about the "gravine" and more. The breakfast offers always fresh food, served with cure. Nearby Palagianello and Castellaneta, interesting places to visit. The rooms always clean... More

I had to back away from an "excellent" because we had a cold start. Cold temperature, tho the proprietor is extremely warm and decent, thoughtful and helpful. The building has 2-3 ft-thick walls and they impede warming on a cold winter day. A mistake was not to have begun the heating of the room at the start of the day... More

We are very sorry for the "cold start". Unfortunately, we were also surprised by the sudden cold that has hit our area and throughout southern Italy. It 's very rare that it snows in our area, besides the fact that the Junior Suite is located in the old part of the farm (1850) and our ancestors have built the house... More
