We stayed for a 2 night getaway on Railey. The Anyavee was perfectly situated between the drop off point and the restaurants and night life. They have a great pool with terrific views and the low season rate was perfect. All in all everything was ok and had no reason to complain.

There are mixed reviews here regarding this hotel and it's location. So let's clarify a few points. First of all, the resort is located on a headland called Railay which is surrounded by karsts (mountains) and so is only accessible by boat (longboat or speedboat). All boats from Ao Nang (which is where most people embark from come to the... More

I stayed at the resort for two nights with my son and daughter. It was a horrible experience although the resort have an excellent pool and very good breakfast menu. The experience started with walking about 30 minutes to the hotel and carrying all the luggage on a dirt ally until we reached the hotel. We were shocked to find... More

Stayed here on recommendation of friends. Very comfortable bungalows, nice and quiet but not far from restaurants and shops. We quite enjoyed it, so muh so that we asked to stay a few extra nights. We were told 'no problem'. Apparently it was a problem because upon returning one afternoon at 4 pm, we were told that they were double... More

We stayed in a standard room which was the same price as many others we had stayed at in Thailand and we were very disappointed as it really was only to "backpacker" standard. The hotel is difficult to access as the resort is only approachable by longtail boat. You are then faced with at 10 to 15 minute struggle with... More

My husband and I spent 4 nights here in February 2011. The place itself is ok but not really good value for money. The bungalow we stayed in had a bathroom which was pretty much open to the elements and we had visiters like a huge spider, a slug and loads of mosquitos. The main reason for my warning though... I had read good reviews on this site regarding this hotel so I decided that it would be the best choice on the east side of Railay. I was instantly turned off upon arrival when two girls ahead of me were quoted one price (1,200 THB/night) and I was quoted another (2,000 THB/night). When I asked why the difference in... More

We stayed our first night at Yaya and wanted to get some sleep for our second night. We ended up at Anyavee, in a spacious room with a balcony, AC and a nice bathroom. More expensive than Yaya, but I think we paid around 1500 bath for one night. We got a good night's sleep anyway.

After booking our stay at the Anyavee I came across some bad reviews about its location and security. You can imagine how pleased I was to find it had been recently acquired by Best Western Hotels. We ran into no problems whatsoever. The room was fantastic: clean, the bed very comfortable, and we even had a semi-outdoor shower! The staff... More

I would not stay here again on two counts: 1) Price I booked three nights at Anyavee in early September (off-season) through Agoda for 1,600 THB (~$54 USD) per night. It was my third time staying in Railay although this time, I was traveling with a friend and wanted something a bit nicer than Yaya, where I normally stay. I... More
