We booked here for 4 nights in the green season in a wooden bungalow. Although the bungalow was nice and rustic and what we wanted we had no running water and the toilet didn't work for 2 days. The electricity was off for over 12 hrs from the rain despite other hotels being ok. We demanded a room change and... More

We stayed here for 3 nights but had to extend to 4 due to food poisoning. (We think we got it from a place called The Last Bar) The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The grounds and the buildings are seriously run down. It's a complete mess. There's old concrete, building materials and tools lying around everywhere. The pool... More

I’ve lived in Thailand since august and heard wonderful things about Railay beach so decided to give it a visit. When I started looking for accommodation I was shocked at the prices. Then I realized that by effectively being cut off from the mainland by car visitors immediately become a captive audience to a small group of large hotels who... More

We needed a place to stay to attend a wedding and this was all that was available. The first room offered was truly dismal. Upstairs, hot, ac barely worked, no view. One of the two beds was a cot. We were able to upgrade to a ground floor bungalow the next day that was a big improvement with excellent ac.... More

We are a couple (M43, F38), adventurous thrifty travellers. We enjoy discovering cultures, and we consider ourselves with low expectations. We booked a regular room ($52CAN) for two nights. It was a room with 1 queen bed and one single bed, garden view. I can't speak for the higher value rooms, but I can tell you that the regular rooms... More

It's sad to see that the Anyavee Railay Resort has received so many negative reviews since the beginning of 2015, although deserving of most. We based our decision to stay here on the reviews up until December 2014. Something has clearly changed and perhaps we were lucky enough to catch the resort earlier in it's transition. Railay is one of... More

Got ill when we stayed here before in December 2013 but the return in Feb 2015 was a much, much worse experience. I live in Thailand and know to expect service and facilities that are a little rough around the edges. However, our bungalow was falling apart, with toilet tissue plugging gaps everywhere. No water for 3 days and staff... More

Where to start... I´m a very experienced traveler with low accommodation standards but this place is not ok, not even close. 1. The check in was an unpleasant experience. He/she with big read earrings in the reception was extremely unfriendly. Didn´t answer our questions, just ignored us and didn´t smile even once. Our excitement and happiness fast turned into surprise... More

I can't believe they can charge so much for this below average room! It was barely clean, the door didn't open/close properly and had massive gaps in it that let mosquitos in, the towels were old and stained, and the room was so run down that I don't think it has had any maintenance since the 80's. If I were... More
