We stayed at the Railay Princess in late March 2014. Overall, it was a pleasant stay but it would be very difficult to have an unpleasant time in Railay as it's such a beautiful place! First, the rooms are very basic. Our bed was not very comfortable (even by Thai standards). The bathroom was on the dirty side. The tap... More

The Railay Princess Resort is a good basic hotel but access to it involved a long-tail boat ride with no tractor/trailer to meet us and the tide was out so we had to jump into thigh-deep water with luggage and wade through mud to get to the walkway. Lengthy walk to the hotel in wet clothes. One of our group... More

After reading different review on this hotel I had a doubt but still booked a room there. First of all, the hotel is really nice and clean, the size of the room was good, the bathroom was really clean, like the rest and it was quiet. Funny thing is the water a slightly salty so better use bottles to brush... More

Wifi mostly nonexistent. If that is important to you, I recommend finding somewhere that offers it in the room. It works in the lobby. Not in your room as others have mentioned too. Breakfast was decent but also 300% the cost of what it is just a short walk down the beach. The pool is beautiful Though apt to get... More

Hotel located at East side, just at "tractor meeting point" so you wont walk much from boat to hotel if arriving from Ao Nang. There is no direct access to beach: West beach about 3-5 min, South about 10 minutes by walk. Both of this beaches is fantastic, white sands, clear water and HUGE amount of peoples all the time... Having read some not-so-positive reviews, I was a little leery of staying here. I visited Railay on a day trip a few days before I intended to come to stay, so was able to do a little recon work and check out some places. We didn't want to spend a fortune, but also wanted to stay somewhere with a really... More

Railay is the most beautiful place I have ever visited in Asia. The white and spacious beaches were really breathtaking, and they were not overcrowded in any way. The end of the beaches changes to rough cliffs and steep mountains, and is quite a scenery. Despite Railay is not an island it´s only reachable by boat, and you can enjoy... More

First of all, the stench other reviews describe is real. I awoke on our second morning at Princess, turned to my friend and asked "do I smell or is it the room?" "Its the room, she said and it only ggets worse if you stand up." Also, had mild problems with the water in our room going out. Had MASSIVE... More

Got standard room through Expedia for around $50... guess was expecting better from pics. The pics I saw show newer part of hotel most of which I didn't see, since I was given older wing of hotel, different from pictures including pool. Definitely felt separated from rest of hotel. Room had a mountain view and overlooked older pool area. Shower... More

We arrived in the beautiful Railay by boat (from Ao Nang for 100 baht per person). The boat dropped us off at the west side of Railay which meant we had to endure a 10 minute gruelling walk to the hotel; through Railay village, in the sweltering heat...dragging our luggage along the way. By the time we arrived at the... More
