A most interesting conversion in the middle of a small hamlet. The rooms were adequate with a comfortable bed. Loads of character in the building but some of it a bit OTT. The service varied but it was always friendly. Our pre ordered aperitifs didn't turn up, they had clearly forgotten about them. Dinner, whilst good, flattered to deceive. Some... More

We were supposed to be spending one night here but when we arrived found that the manager, in a spirit of helpfulness, had swapped our ground floor room for a second floor one so we would be away from the noise of a wedding that was going on, forgetting that we had booked a ground floor room because I have... Spent one night here on our trip. This is a beautifully restored property. We were in the "Osa Mayor" room. All rooms are named after constellations. The room was large and beautifully appointed. I was concerned about noise because it is directly over the bar but 'Rueben', our host, assured me it would be quiet at night as this was... More

From the moment we walked through the wood doors we were overwhelmed with this oasis in a beautiful small town . The rooms were exquisite with one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in. The highlight of the evening was the dinner... Amazing food of exceptional quality... This is must for all travellers!! This was family owned and... More

A great little high class hotel in in a small village in the middle of nowhere close to the Leon mountains in Northern Spain. First class facilities, service and catering. We tried the mushroom soup followed by steak and lamb it was superb. Only problem we had was to stay one night. Next year we will go back for a longer... The place is a gem. A beautiful rebuilt of a typical house in that area. Old World but with all modern conveniences. And the kitchen is fantastic, specializing in mushrooms and meat from the best farms in the area. Breakfast was another feast! The whole family is very service minded, proud of their place, products and that the region has... More

We recently spent four nights at this hotel and came away feeling that perhaps this was the most charming hotel in which we have ever stayed. If you are seeking a great little hotel, in a small sleepy village in an attractive rural area of Northern Spain, we would without reservation recommend Hosteria Camino. The hotel itself is an old... Yes, we have just stayed for the fourth time in a row! Every year we turn up like migrating birds to rest at this idyllic 'hostelry' in the foothills of the Leon mountains, as we make our way back to the UK. We loved it the first, second and third times and each time thought it couldn't get any better.... More

This is a gem of a hotel and one you should have no hesitation in visiting. From the outside it is a beautiful stone building - inside is even better. The interior has been exceptionally designed to produce a simply breath taking hotel. Each room - the bar, the dining room, the courtyard, the bedrooms are decorated to a high... More

Lovely hotel, great room, comfortable bed, nice clean bathrooms - quality soap and bath gels. We had a delicious dinner, simple but well cooked and would highly recommend the various mushroom dishes on offer. Service is excellent and we felt very well looked after throughout our short stay.
