I guess safety is not the hallmark of this hotel... I was on property recently and was heading to the conference room and I fall flat on the floor; -there were no signs indicating caution/slippery floor... requested an accident/incident form at the front desk which was later taken to me, same was completed and taken to the front desk later... This is a great getaway if you want to experience real Jamaican culture. It's a small boutique hotel, with an excellent staff. We ate there every day and the food was excellent. Don't stay here if you're looking for the typical 5-star, all-inclusive! Paul and Colleen, the owners are working very hard to update everything in this lovely little place.... More

Our time here was very good. The people we went with made it great. The swimming pool has been refurbished. Our room 25 (deluxe ocean view) looked over the ocean and we went to sleep with the ocean breeze each night. The meals were very good. The staff and bar were excellent. It was a Luxury hotel from Ian Fleming... More

First and foremost let me say, I had read reviews prior to booking my trip.Of course if you are on this page you can see both excellent reviews and others that are not so good.If I had let the 'very few' negative reviews made me change my mind I would have missed out on a relaxing get away. My stay... More

I booked this hotel through Hotwire. Initially, I thought it would be a good fit for my family. We were touring the island and needed a one-night getaway. I wouldn't stay here again with the kids. The Good: Amazing view from our balcony and the restaurant. We met the owner, and he seemed really friendly. Wi-fi was easily accessible in... More

I first stayed at the Casa Maria in July of 1978 and was pleasantly surprised to find her growing only more beautiful and graceful in July of 2014. Never have I stayed at any hotel where the staff members were more accommodating and helpful. From the borrowing of a cooler for a day away from the hotel to the manager... More

I frequently visit the Casa Maria hotel in Port Maria Jamaica. It's perfectly situated between Ocho Rios and Port Maria, the drive there is wonderful in any direction. World changing history all around, a story at every turn, every corner beautiful fruit trees. Getting to the hotel I realized is on a hill overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The grounds were... More

Stayed here for approximately 6 days and was tempted to extend my stay. Though my trip was mainly for business reasons, I was taken away by this breath taking view, I forgot my trip wasn't leisure intended. I have stayed at numerous beach front hotels in Jamaica but this view is like none other. The staff made my stay comfortable.... More

My first time here was by myself and it was amazing. This time it was my husband, our baby and myself. The rooms were nicely renovated. I noticed a lot of great changes. The driveway was nicely paved with a new huge sign at the entrance. The staff and food GREAT as usual. Pool really clean and relaxing. We were... More

What a shame that this hotel has not been cared for. Great location with lovely views but it's glory days are gone. Once frequented by the rich and famous this could be a real upmarket gem. The manager was unhelpful and when we requested to change the mattress he said there was no one to carry it, so we said... More

OwnerWAState, Front Office Personnel at Casa Maria Hotel, responded to this review

Dear Reviewer, The reviewer could not have had any contact with the manager in this regard. Bedding changings are a routine task for our hotel. Adjustments are made upon guests requests. This would not have been a major situation to require the manager to get involved. All bookings and guest requests/needs are handle by our front office staff. Front desk... More
