At a farm on the outskirts of Mitchelstown. I had a very large and comfortable room, well furnished and fitted out. The owners are very attentive and helpful, especially considering they have a farm to run. The farm has wild boar and deer, so there are some animal smells and noises, as you would expect. The breakfast was really excellent,... More

Despite us arriving late we received a lovely warm friendly welcome from Miriam. Our rooms were very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The following morning we enjoyed the most delicious cooked breakfast in the family kitchen; not only was it very relaxed and friendly but the whole breakfast was home produced by Miriam and Pat. Miriam kindly emailed us the... More

After waking up the next morning after a wedding I decided to go to a local shop for a drink couldn't get out the gate so climbed over it. Was then to my astonishment accused by the owner of breaking out of the property as well as breaking in (in a suit), the normal attire for a burglar. I never... More

This is a big old house, you feel like a lord as soon as you get in. This big house is surrounded by a big park where deers are playing and running. In one word, this is a unique experience. Moreover, the hosts are very welcoming and the breakfast is just amazing. I definitely recommend this place!

Very friendly welcome, well looked after with a great breakfast and farm tour. Stayed in the small house which was lovely. Would have preferred a bath as stayed with young children. Would definitely stay again.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. The room in the big house was very comfortable. Patrick and Miriam made us feel right at home and a part of their family. I especially liked eating in their kitchen and talking with the family including their son, John. The breakfast was outstanding with plenty of variety and fresh fruit.... More

Well, I am still speechless. The connection between this family and Hungary is unique and unexpected, but the friendliness and the openness is just unbelievable. They have opened their home for visitors to show their life and I think this is another level of Irish hospitality and B&B. Great people, honest, they love what they are doing and they are... More

We are a family of five and this was our first experience both in Ireland and in staying at a B&B. I wasn't sure what to expect. Staying here is like going to your favorite Aunt's house. Miriam and Patrick were incredibly welcoming and helpful but not at all intrusive. Our kids aged 11,14,15 were welcomed and had space to... More

Great hosts, great accommodation (Mulcahy Room) and even better breakfast. I'd been travelling all week, staying in higher-end hotels but Ballinwillin topped them all! I had the best nights sleep and best breakfast all week and despite its 'rural' location the WiFi was better than the hotels I'd stayed in, in Limerick & Dublin. I would definitely recommend.

I have been regularly staying at Ballinwillin House on business for the last 18 months. Miriam and Pat are perfect hosts; warmly welcoming and attentive to their guests needs. The courtyard rooms are spacious and very comfortable and the farm is extremely quiet and peaceful. I love seeing the deer in the fields on the road up to the house.... More
