Worst place we stayed in 3 months travelling Indonesia! Rude, intimidating manager. Riding on the back of the lonely planet recommendation. Th rooms were dirty and over-priced. We moved after one night where we were kept awake until 5 in the morning by staff partying outside with the room next door. We rented a bike off one of the managers... More

We only stayed one night, but occupied two rooms. My room was the last one, and I was stung by bedbugs about 90 times within one night. I asked the owners the day before whether they had Bugs in this room or not, and he said that it doesn't have any. At 3 in the morning, I woke up and... More

Made Homestay is dirty and stinky. Smell of cigarettes in rooms, staff is resting on beds in empty rooms watching TV and smoking, after that they not changing sheets. Breakfast on dirty plates. The worst thing is that, thera are bedbugs in rooms (room nr 5). If you can, find another place. Oh, one more thing, Made Homestay wants payment... More

In the lonely planet guide of 2013 this homestay is described as a "terrific new cheapie". It might have been back then but now (10-2014) it seems that 2013 was the last time the rooms were cleaned. There was very old dust on the fan and under the bed. Every surface was greasy and the room smelled like fungus spores.... More

The Made homestay is a little out of the town, roughly 1km before the town (absolutely in walking distance). It is along the main coastal road, opposite to the sea. The place was pretty good, with a little garden, the room was mostly nice and clean an. The staff was pleasant. The only inconvenient is that it can become a... More

Basic rooms, but perfectly comfortable enough for 180k Rupiah a night. Big double bed, a/c, separate area for your bags, ensuite, and TV with DVD player. Very close to the main road so it can be quite noisy with motorbikes and trucks. 10mins walk north into the main Senggigi strip for restaurants. Just over the road from the beach for... More

Why should lonley planet recomend a place with average prices, high for the location, dirty rooms and nothing to to near? Dirty rooms, noisy hosts, bad wifi, tv that doesn't work.. I still don't get it...

Arrived Sengiggi having no where booked, a lot of places fully booked because it was New Years Eve. Checked into the last room on the block of this places...very basic but at 150k we took it. Wish we hadn't as we both got bedbugs, also the toilet blocked so had bedbugs plus a room that smelt like feaces. Generally friendly... More

Cheap place to stay on your way to the Gili Islands at only 140k a night for a double room with breakfast. The rooms are a bit dingy but are comfortable enough. They come with a tv and DVD player although the bathroom doesn't have a sink! It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the bars and restaurants in Sengiggi.... More
