We saw this from the motorway and it didn't look great from the outside but we were tired and just wanted somewhere to sleep. When we got close we could see it was much better than we had thought. The inside is very nicely decorated with various interesting antiques. They told us the restaurant opened at 7:30 but we went... More

Stayed here for the Robregordo Classic Trial. The proprietors and staff are absolutely brilliant and couldnt do enough for us. The cleanliness and presentation of the hotel was second to none. We will definitely be back. From the Irish Boys

Stayed here on night of 18th Jan. Beautiful hotel. Was met by a lovely British receptionist who booked dinner for us, showed us to our two bedrooms and informed us of the lovely breakfast buffet that would be available in the morning. So far so good. What could go wrong? Unfortunately, we were the only people dining that night, so... More

The hotel at first glance appears to be in a noisy location but it's so peaceful that you can be assured of a good nights sleep. It's 4 hours from Santander and 1 hour north of Madrid on the A1 so perfect for travellers to/from the ferry. It's an old building full of charm and character but has all modern... More

Stayed here after looking for somewhere close to the motorway, receptionist extremely helpful, good value for money in room, and had probabaly the best plate of ham I have eaten here. Actually it was so good we stopped here on return trip.

Such a shame the restaurant was closed, we were not informed until after our arrival and as the hotel is in a remote location we had to drive elsewhere for a meal, because cafeteria had a poor selection of foods for evening meals. We were upset by the receptionist when we checked out in the moning. There was a charge... More

This converted monastery is absolutely wonderful for anyone travelling from Santander down to southern Spain. The location is just off the main road ,so easy to find, takes about 3 - 4 hours drive from Santander & you hear NO road noise. The hotel is stylish & the bedrooms are large and beautifully furnished. The staff were so helpful &... More
