This must be one of the most beautifully set places in Drakensberg, right next to Cathedral Peak Hotel, with plenty hiking around. Unfortunally we made mistake assuming that the place will be well catered due to amount of tourists it attracts - which unfortunately was not the case. Choice of food and service in restaurant was absolutely pathetic, with staff... More

We stayed 3 weeks in SA and Didima camp was the best for us / even better than Safari etc /. We stayed there for 3 nites, came in rainy weather and even it was stunning. Private chalets with small terrace, bbq place and fire place... perfect. We enjoyed our days and nites. Went for hiking as well. Chalets are... More

Located in the middle of the Drakensberge national park the camp is wonderful for day hikes. The rooms are spacious and the chalets fit beautifully into the landscape. But the service and especially food is really bad. Make sure to bring your own food and get a self-catering chalet or drive the 3km up to the Cathedral Peak Hotel. Don't... More

My sister recommended Didima as my wedding venue. It was absolutely stunning!I still get compliments about the venue. Family and friends all tell me that they are definitely coming back just to relax and enjoy the berg. I found the staff friendly and very helpful. If you enjoy the outdoors with the comforts of clean and pleasant rooms-this is for... More

Stayed in a chalet for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. It's a great base for hiking and exploring the area - the reception were helpful in suggesting routes and the shop had maps on sale. The chalets are scattered on the hillside to make the most of the views and let in lots of natural light. The accommodation is... More

We are planning our wedding in the area and visited Didima Camp to enquire about their accommodation options. The service has been very poor from the first day we dealt with Didima and their booking agents, Amatikulu. It’s such a pity as the camp is beautiful with lots of potential.

The location is out of this world!! However whilst the accommodation has the potential to be just as stunning, it is a little tired and unloved. We stayed as a family of 4 in one of just two 4-bed self catering chalets for two nights. We found the lighting to be too low wattage; it was difficult to read in... More

I did not stay here but went specifically to drive the Mikes Pass 4x4 route. After paying entry fee to the area, the people in charge very unapologetically tell us that mikes pass is closed to the public even if you have a 4x4 and you can only go in their vehicle for a fee. What angers me is that... More

Would give it 3 and 1/2 stars.A lovely camp with huge potential but it has been allowed to slip a bit. An unusual setting with very interesting chalets. Comfortable and spacious. Just needs to have a touch of someone who really cares. We picked up a lot of litter which was old - not just strewn about by the baboons... More
