A lovely spot, great views, loved looking out over the mountains with glass of wine on our terrace. What makes it though is the people, Manolis was extremely helpful, good ideas for walks or visits further afield but never intrusive. The food was tasty and plenty of it with great service from the waitresses, sorry can't recall your names ladies,... More

Such a beautiful location and the accommodation was fantastic. Manolis and his staff greet you with such a warm genuine welcome like you are part of their family. The restaurant is very nice excellant food and service and the breakfast buffet caters for everyone, even have a childrens area. Nothing was too much trouble and its easy to see why... More

One of the loveliest holidays I have ever had. The accommodation is impeccable, the location stunning and most of all the welcome is genuine. I would recommend the full board as the food in the taverna is excellent, even for vegetarians, with fantastic service. There is loads to do nearby: mountain walks, stunning beaches and ancient sites. I will definitely... More

Just back from a week at Eleonas. It was simply lovely. I was very comfy in my little house and the service was just fabulous. I got some of the best sleep I've had in ages. The views were stunning and weather great for mid november. I would highly revommend it for families And couples. One drawback; the slope to... More

A dozen little cottages hidden in an olive grove, each with their own balcony and fantastic views of the mountains. We came here expecting self-catering – as it turned out, although there is a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities, it’s not really suitable for proper cooking. The owners did very kindly lend us a pan on the first... More

What a wonderful place....... The setting is so pretty, located at the bottom of the tallest mountain range in Crete with views out across the hills and plains, miles of gnarled olive trees occupy the surrounding land and further, parched arid earth and pine trees add to the vista. From our cottage (of which there are about 20 in all,... More

We spent two nights at Eleonas, and wished we could have spent longer. Built on the side of a mountain in an olive grove, the views are spectacular. Each cottage is private, but at the same time the place has a community feel. The food in the taverna is excellent, on a par with the service. The cottages are very... More

This was very good. Wine and fruit in the room on arrival, the staff are very nice and helpful, the rooms and houses are in very good shape. It's a bit more expensive than other places in Crete, but it's actullay worth it. Very good value! We were just a bit worried during our evening meal the first night -... More

Beautiful place, good food, manolis and staff very friendly and attentive, only caveat I would make is we stayed in a mezzanine cottage with our small baby. It's all very open plan-so was hard to be quiet/keep it dark when he was in bed and we were still up....

Me and my partner have just arrived back from a week at Eleonas and to describe it in one word would be PERFECT! We went to these cottages based on a review in The Independent. The main purpose of the holiday was for us to relax; and that we most definitely did! We did not hire a car so most... More
