A very friendly welcome, comfortable and quiet room, nice touches included a vacuum flask of fresh milk so we could have a proper cup of tea in the morning. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast, all in all great value for money.

arrived tired and dishevelled, we were greeted like returning heroes, tea instantly supplied. Lovely owners, rooms and service. Peaceful town, deep sleep, and an excellent breakfast. The rest of this review is to meet the 200 character limit as I have said it all really, and would just be repeating myself.

As a single traveller on businesses I often need overnight accommodation on a budget. When I find somewhere I would return to out of choice it's a bonus! This was the perfect respite after a long drive - nice clean cosy room with private bathroom and breakfast in the morning was splendid. All the good reviews here are well earned... More

I checked in on a rainy Sunday afternoon with my 2 young children in tow... The owners were all so accommodating and polite. They made me feel right and home immediately. Their charm and cheerful disposition was a sight for sore eyes. The warmth exuded by the family and their gorgeous dog Chloe makes the stay worthwhile. The room was... More

Great place to stay on our way to the Highlands, we'll be staying there again. The owners we're very welcoming and helpfull, they advised us to visit Roslin Chapel wich was fantastic. Both the breakfast and bedroom were lovely.

Stayed two nights in September, and it's probably the most welcoming guest house we have visited. Stuart, Sylvia and Tracey couldn't have done more (including tea and coffee in the dining room on arrival). We had room 5 on the ground floor at the rear. Another reviewer mentioned this room to be a little dark, and it's true there was... More

My husband and I spent an overnight stay here. Have no hesitation in recommending staying here. Stuart, Sylvia and Tracey are wonderful hosts. They can't do enough to make your stay a memorable one. The room was very clean, lovely towels, tea making facilities, hairdryer. Everything you could require. You will not be disappointed if you stay there.

We stopped for one night after a late flight back. We had rang the hotel previously to say we'd be a bit late. Got there about 945pm, and were shown our room downstairs. This was classed as the accessible room, but the b&bs other rooms were already taken. Pleasant room, comfortable and extremely clean. Warm welcome from Stuart, and were... More

Have just returned from spending two excellent nights at Broomfield House used as a base to explore Edinburgh. We had 2 rooms; a large double and a triple for three of our daughters. Stuart, Sylvia and Tracey were wonderful hosts; nothing was too much trouble. Cup of tea on arrival, help with parking and advise on where to eat. The... More

I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. The rooms are lovely and clean. The couple can't do enough for you. Breakfast is simply the best. Very peaceful. Relaxing. The usual tea / coffee making facilities in the room but Sylvia still brought me a tray of tea when I arrived. The little things make all the difference. It's so... More
