Recently stayed here and had an utterly bizarre stay. The stay was defined by Lesley who runs the b & b. At breakfast Lesley slated other quests whom we then had to have breakfast with. Lesley was very over bearing and told you her whole life story whilst being extremely pass remarkable. Breakfast was undercooked. She then basically asked these... More

Stayed for 1 night and it was great, lovely and quiet. Lesley was very welcoming showed us the TV lounge and our room, which was very spacious and the bathroom was huge. Lovely family feeling in the kitchen as it was a large table that everyone sat at. The cooked breakfast was excellent, and there were choices of cereal and... More

My Wife and I stayed here for the Kelso Scooter Rally as we didn't fancy the cold camping. The room was lovely and Lesley was brilliant, who couldn't do more for us and cooks a great breakfast, will be coming back next year :-D

I stayed here with my husband and 2 year old son for 1 night. We hadn't planned our stay and turned up within 40 minutes of booking it online. Was greeted by a nice cheery lady (Lesley) who unfortunately had to jump out the bath to answer the door (sorry Lesley haha). We were shown to the communal lounge while... More

Stayed for one night - was quite tricky to find (you have to drive round the back and not well signposted). Host was very friendly and chatty. Room and bathroom were very clean. Only quibble was that I did have some problems with the WiFi signal.

Lovely quiet location. We had the largest room with on-suite. Decor seemed out of place and clutered and there was no telly in the room, as advertised. Room clean and beds comfortable. Landlady, very talkative and friendly. Helpful with best routes for travelling, etc. Would stay again.

I have to agree with the last reviewers "opinion" of the Owner - Lesley can be charming she can also be a dragon (our first night experience!) we arrived at 10.00 BUT it took us another 30 minutes to determine which HOUSE was the Granary - this was with the help of one of her neighbours (who then called her... Never met a landlady like this, too friendly by far then flips into abusive mode. Basically ripped us off. Constant complaints about her life which we did not really want to hear. Lesley gave us a sob story and asked for cash up front to help her cash flow, which we paid on the first morning. Breakfast was average, on... More

We stayed here for the first time in March of this year on our way to Ballater in order to rest before we carried on with our journey. We were thoroughly surprised and impressed with this B&B - the decor was amazing, our beautiful room was spotlessly clean with tea and coffee making facilities and had an en-suite bathroom. Lesley...
