The mountain air, peace and tranquility at the B&B Casa Ana, was an experience we will not forget. The en-suite room was cool and restful. Breakfasts set you up for the days exploring the Pitres villages in the beautiful Alpujarra mountains. Evenings spent looking at the mountains from the terrace, with drinks and snacks, rewarded with a Golden Oriole posing... More

Just had a fantastic week touring the Alpujarra mountains in Spain based at the wonderful B and B of Casa Ana at Ferreirola. The accommodation was perfect. Very comfortable beds and great cool rooms. Started the day on a great breakfast and had tea and coffee facilities on evening return to eat a snack or just to watch for a... More

I was there for 2 nights and enjoyed every one second. From the moment you enter the property, you feel the total relaxation, with marvelous view to the mountain. It made me forget instantly the arduous bus trip from Granada (3 hours. TIP: If you can rent a car. Bus trip is never recommended) Never once did Anne, the owner,... More

We only had one night here unfortunately as after a hair raising journey it was so utterly beautiful and peaceful we would liked to have stayed longer! There are many guides for a range of walks and great facilities. We went to eat in the nearby town and came back and lilt a fire in a communal room! Perfect :)... More

My sister and I stayed at Casa Ana for two nights as part of a week long trip to Granada and the Sierra Nevada, and could easily have stayed for much longer. The first thing that struck us upon arriving at Casa Ana was the tranquility, which gave us a total sense of relaxation and made the long and windy... More

Our two visits to Casa Ana have been during the winter months. We found warmth, silence and fine hospitality. Casa Ana is a perfect base for walking. We were lucky with the weather and followed well-marked tracks into dramatic and varied scenery (books, maps and guides are available). You'll hear little more than your footsteps and the sound of running... More

Casa Ana is the perfect place for a creative retreat. I loved everything about the place and the region. It's made for taking time out and focusing on your writing or any creative project. It's remote and cozy at the same time. I still can't get the wonderful breakfasts out of my mind and food in the nearby village. Also... More

We stayed at Casa Ana for 6 nights in March 2014 and could have stayed even longer. Met james2anne there, hello you two! The village of Ferreirola is at a dead end and it is so quaint and quiet, wonderful. Parking is a minute away from Anne's at the Church, the residential streets are so narrow you can't possibly park... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in March 2014, using the picturesque village of Ferreirola as a base for exploring the Alpujarras. Casa Ana is tucked away in a quiet lane, overlooking the deep gorge of the Rio Trevelez. The rooms are arranged around a central garden. Our bedroom was a converted food store: comfortable, warm and quiet. The breakfasts... More

I went to Casa Ana on 5, October, 2013 for a course. I have never been to such an Inn, but I remember being instantly captivated the moment I arrived to the quiet village. The owner: Anne Hunt cheerfully welcomed us at the Village entrance near a Church and led to us to the residence. The village is everything one... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Casa Ana is a rambling 400-year-old house in the Alpujarra mountains of Andalucia. Once a family home, with a wine press, olive store, barns and a goat shed, the property was beautifully restored in 2005 in the Moorish mountain style. It provides comfortable, quiet accommodation with breakfast on the terrace and magnificent views. Relax in the garden, walk in the hills, listen to nightingales, or visit nearby Granada with its fabled Alhambra Palace. ... more   less
