We spent two and a half days at this lodge and it was not enough. The trips were terrific. We saw a large number of birds, as well as a few mammals (howler monkeys, giant anteaters, capibara, deer, foxes, ocelots, etc.--even a visit at night from an armadillo), a few reptiles (no snakes though), lots of insects (including mosquitoes) and... What a fun place for the entire family! We enjoyed the variety of activities, the wonderful food and accommodations, and most of all the friendly staff. We took advantage of all possible activities over our 3 day stay here, including a private plane tour of the area. The guides were excited to show us all the wonders of this spectacular... More

The staff and english speaking guide, Fabio, was terrific, and Fabiano, the staff guide was an amazing animal spotter. The food was great. Wifi and mobile access in the main area. My 10 year-old son and I caught piranha (his favorite activity), saw lots of wildlife on the truck photo safari (anteater, emu, jabiru, caiman, capybara, armadillo, monkey, anaconda, tons... More

This pousada is in a beautiful place, staff are very friendly and they make you feel like home. It is also great for children, our 3 and 6 year old sons loved it. Food is excellent, accomodation is basic but great. Organized trips are very nice, wide variety and well organized. we would have loved to stay forever!.

All the experience was incredible. The place us very cosy and welcoming. The rooms are excelent and have air conditoning. They have a really good photo safaris, by horseriding, by boat, by Jeeps and a night view of the local animals. My kids (12 and 14) loved the place. I suggest to take a panoramic flight over the Pantanal that's... More

We travelled to Pousada Aguape as a family - 3 adults and two rambunctious boys aged 7 and 9. I can't think of a thing that could have been improved upon during our stay here. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the rooms (which some have described as 'rustic') were clean and well maintained. The food was delicious -... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was tasty with plenty to eat. The tours are well organised and there is a huge amount of wildlife to see, even in the grounds of the ranch. The rooms are fairly basic, but they are very clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi is available in public... More

The Pousada Aguape is actually inside a large cattle farm (fazenda) in the Pantanal region. It takes about 50km in a dirty road, but in very good condition, to get there. The drive in itself is already a safari experience. The pousada is very nice, with lots of animals such as toucans, arara, fox, and many other birds, that you... More
