This hotel was a wonderful oasis from the medivial villages with lots of walking including a beautiful cave the grotte of Pastena, Agni, Casamari and Sora and Guarancino, the passiagatas were somewhat strenuous but wonderful, rural and not on the path of tourists, but to get back to the hotel our cenas, suppers, were full of good food, the pasta... Hotel Bassetto is a rural Italian hotel that is run by Italians. I used it for visiting an industrial zone a few miles away. Rooms were clean and basic with no A/C that I could see. If you open the window, the road outside is busy and quite noisy. The staff were very friendly and helpful, although my wake up... More

This is well worth traveling farther for the excellent quality of service and phenomenal food! This is the best hotel I've stayed at in years! The personal care that the family owned establishment showed to our family was above and beyond what any other hotel could do.

This was a launch point for a group of 36 attending a festa in Patrica for San Rocco. Stayed 3 days. Excellent food, clean and cool rooms. Service at restaurant and front desk excellent. Best hotel meal of 4 hotels we stayed in! Quiet and rural. Excellent location to tour Italy by car or taxi. Close to Pompeii & beaches.

I have visited the hotel with some other people. Staff is friendly. Food in the restaurant is good, the others agreed on that. The hotel looks a bid outdated; in some areas in my room the carpet was a bid dirty in some areas (due to frequent use I assume) and had some burn marks also in the bathroom the... More

Ferentino is a hill town of 20,000 located 45 miles from Rome (1 hour by train). The city was founded around 300 B.C. and has a diversity of historical and archetectural sites. A nice place to visit for a few quiet diays while commuting to Rome if you wish. We have stayed at Bassetto a dozen times and have found... More

it's been a year since I last stayed at the Bassetto, but nothing has changed in that time. It remains a rural Italian hotel, run by Italians, for Italians, with a few international visitors visiting the extensive industrial zone a few km away. Rooms are simple, clean, and whilst not tiny (as some italian hotel rooms are) they are not... More

This is a family hotel. It's decor is a little tired but it is clean, welcoming and comfortable. It is very good value for money. The rooms are adequate and have air conditioning which is important in the summer. The restaurant has a reputation for good regional food and is used by locals - a testimony to it's quality. Breakfast... More

This hotel is located in FeRentino.. App. 84 km south of rome. There are industrial plants in the region and the most convenient place to stay in the region is Bassetto Hotel. I paid 65 euro for one night.. Internet was included.. Room was small but clean.. Restaurant was also ok.. Nice sea food was available. Breakfast was poor but... More

Despite being located only 90 minutes or so south of Rome, this is a rural Italian hotel catering for a rural Italian clientele. And it doesn’t pretend to be anything other than this. Rooms are basic, functional and clean, reasonable size for Italy and bathroom is perfectly adequate too. Didn’t use hotel internet service as it was an extra cost.... More
