I am not just trying to be critical, the Outrigger Resort was terrible, especially considering a basic room was about 80 USD; definitely more expensive than most basic hotel-type places or the simplest of hotels, but without the same level of comfort and cleanliness. The people that worked there were nice, but that is about the only good thing about... More

Let´s use this example for constructive purposes rather than destructive, and talk about the better options. First of all, this is not Europe or the US, but a province of simple people who don´t live at the same level, and therefore are not competetive to deliver the qualities of holidays that we expect elsewhere in the world. This fact does... More

My colleagues and I stayed in Outrigger in June recently. There was no electricity when we arrived at 4 PM. No water to flush. Sheets stained. Low maintenance. The waiter requested us to order dinner if needed at 5 PM. Who orders dinner menu 2 hrs prior to having dinner?. We paid $60 US dollars which is a rip off.... More

The place looks old, but it works if you don't expect too much. Path with 140+ steps between reception and parking area requires some fitness. They have small dive shop, but dive guide and boat are hired externally. Diving can become expensive, if there aren't more divers.

We booked at outrigger for a quick weekend dive trip. We left Manila at 5 am on Saturday and arrived at 7 am. for a 9 am dive. I was on a rebreatehr and my friend normal recreational diving. I was assured they would have oxygen on hand and we would have a guide and a boat. By 9 am... More

This resort was surprisingly a value for money, the staff are well trained. Though the rooms and the surroundings look old.. needs a little more effort to maintain. Even the room, the linens, the toilets looks like it needs better maintenance. I think the staff are not enough to do all the works around. The room has a veranda facing... More

Besides the crew, who were very nice, the price paid does not worth the service offered: 1. The room was ok but the bedsheets were very old and had rust stains, 2. the bathroom did not have toilet paper, 3. the shower curtain was full of mold, 4. there was NOT HOT or WARM WATER, 5. the flush was not... Anilao Outrigger Resort This place is my experience of the Philippines in a nutshell. I have been to the Philippines three times in three years. Anilao is principally a dive resort and as such probably not on the map for the normal holiday maker, which is a shame. Put on a snorkel and literally put your face in the water... More

We read the reviews before we booked. We even had a referral from a U.S. dive travel company. This resort is in rural philippines so you have to set " the bar" pretty low as far as accomodations go. This resort still fell below the bar. The rooms smell moldy and there is visible mold on the walls and ceiling... More

Makati City , enjoyable outing Our company held our yearly outing at this resort called outrigger in anilao batangas and i was surprised that there is such a nice quiet plac at the bottom of that adventurous stairs. WOW for the shore area. I find myself snorkeling already at the clear water with small marine life swimming arround me. I... More
