The resort is peaceful. I like their wooden bridges for some reason. I didn't mind the short walk to the beachfront. Their rooms are good with spacious bathrooms unlike other resorts which make them teeny tiny. The food is 3.5-4.0 out of 5. It's not a five star hotel but they have variety. I liked the barbecue which they surely... More

I love this place. Good food, friendly staff, secluded and quiet. Perfect for a weekend getaway. A place do not have to be grand to be beautiful. This place is simply gorgeous and relaxing. Recommended!

Spent an Overnight for a Diving Trip. Rooms are rustic but decent and clean [Don't need more if diving only] Food was Good Service was Good Dog Friendly Accommodation Overall good quality / price Ratio Recommended if you are on a tight budget diving trip / not looking for luxury, Only (-): The Parking Area is remotely located and requires... 1) Service: the workers in Balai Resort are very helpful and warm. They were all smiles when doing their job which made us feel welcomed. 2) Food: Was great! Seriously..:) 3) Room: Decent and basic but clean. Our electrical point in the room was pretty flimsy and exposed. I hope the management will look into it and do something about... More

Just had a 3 days 2 nights stayed in this resort. Really had a bad experience. Will never ever come back to this resort again! (1) The electrical supply was very unstable. Brown outs at night with no aircon. (2). Lots of mosquitoes at night. My kids were cover with mosquitoes bites. (3). No daily housekeeping during check in. (4).... More

We had a magical day trip to Balai Anilao in Batangas. The resort is about 2.5 hours drive from Manila, easy driving, 130kms, along provincial roads in the south of Luzon. We left the house at 6 and were at the resort by 8:30 in the morning. The directions from the website are pretty clear, we had to ask a... More

love this resort because it is like a home. food is excellent and dives are cheap! staff are friendly. it is nice because it is quiet (they do not allow karaoke!) and you have enough space to fix your dive gear, and relax afterwards. the deck by the dining area is the best place to sit, hang out and have... If you want to take some time off work/ school and diving is your kind of sport, then take a trip to Anilao, Batangas where there is an abundance of reefs to explore. And while you're there, check-in at Balai. The food is great with various choices and all complementing one another. In addition to that, the staff are friendly... More

Awesome inclusive buffet meals makes your stay all worth it! Wooden rooms are cozy and clean but could be tidier. There are insects in the bathroom roof sometimes from trees outside. Excellent service from friendly staff and divemasters. Location is central to diving spots but an hour from the Anilao pier main road.

Nothing beats Balai Anilao and Laiya. I miss diving there with Lito and Mona. I miss the good food and drinks. Now, the waters here in the U.S. is too cold. If you guys wanna dive there, try to get in touch with Mel and Casty of Sea-cid. They're damn good dive instructors. They certified me few years back.
