For the serious underwater photographer that likes muck diving, this is the place to go to in the Anilao area. There are also non-muck dives for those that prefer reef scenes. The property is designed to cater to the serious U/W photographer due to Mike Bartick's involvement in the design of the facilities. I have never seen better photography setups... More

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Crystal Blue during a 7-day dive photography workshop with about 25 people. The rooms were large and air-conditioned. The kitchen provided a diverse range of food options at each meal - typically a pasta, meat, and vegetarian dish. The resort caters to divers and dive photographers specially. The camera room had ample space to... More

Crystal Blue is a wonderful scuba diving resort. We were there specifically for a photography workshop with 24 divers total. The resort is set up well for both diving and photography and the staff and dive team are super helpful. Resort design is all about diving; the lowest floor is the dive equipment deck, right above that is the camera... More

I have stayed at this hotel/dive resort once before. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the food is excellent...serving both western and Filipino dishes. The dining room overlooks the bay affording guests an excellent view each evening of the sunset. The diving in the area (Anilao) is world-class for muck diving. The dive guides are among the best in the area;... More

I went in 5/2013 and stayed at Crystal Blue Resort. This is the first far east photo workshop I had ever attended and my first time to this part of the world, if that helps with my perspectives. I landed in Manilla and was promptly greeted by CB staff. I had dressed appropriately as the airplane was cold, but it... More

My husband and I came to Crystal Blue for a two week underwater photography workshop mid-February. Our flight to Manila came in at 3:00am, but the van driver was waiting for us right we were told he would be. We got to the resort, had breakfast and checked in, and dove after a nap and lunch. Mike Bartick is the... More

While most of the comments are from divers, I found Crystal Blue Resort to be perfect place for snorkeling. The resort was able to arrange a day trip for island hopping, we were able to snorkel around the different islands and had a wonderful picnic....needless to say the snorkeling was fabulous. The water was so clear and had great visibility.... More

Crystal Blue Resort in Anilao, Philippines We stayed for 14 nights in October/November 2013. This resort is an inexpensive, relaxed location for muck and reef diving. Fish are mostly small tropicals with some jacks, trevally, and snapper. The best time to go to the Philippines is said to be in April/May. November is described as the second best time to... More

Like a great summers day, the good just kept coming. We were there for a 10 day underwater photography workshop and was impressed with the quality of the whole package. Mike the manager and photography expert was informative, had a great sense of humour and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and quite. All of the house staff were extremely respectful... More

The resort is very well set up for diving especially for underwater photographers. The camera room is excellent with individual work stations with power, lighting and storage space. The dive boats are the banca commonly used in the Philippines and are comfortable to dive from but with limited shade. Fortunately all sites are within 35 minutes or so travel from... More
