The setting of this hotel, well beyond other local amenities, makes for a lovely, quiet and exclusive environment. As we languished by the pool, howler monkeys were all around giving us perfect views of these delightful animals. The lakeside setting is beautiful, especially at sunset. The food was good and I was particularly impressed by the ready to go breakfast... More

This is beautifully located hotel - deep in the forest, on the Lake Tikal shore. Setting is stunning and truly unbeatable. Unfortunately the infrastructure is quite outdated, in urgent need of profound refurbishment, e.g.: my room had an old, poorly functioning TV set and A/C that was making much more noise then refreshment. And not mentioning that there is no... More

It was a lovely surprise to arrive at this hotel. They are very welcoming and kind. While checking in they asked If I would like to use the sauna and I immediately agreed and I was so surprised to fine it was an wood fired sauna by the lake. What fun!

This hotel is a good place from which to visit the Mayan ruins at Tikal. Many of the rooms have lovely fews on Lake Peten. On some late afternoons, there is a free 45 minute boat tour of the lake, well worth taking. Did not appreciate being charged USD 10/day for internet that was not available in the rooms, only... It's sight of the lake is absolutely stunning. The hotel has aged dramatically and a lot more can be tone to improve its facilities. Wifi is impossible in the rooms and cable TV is terrible, and although moat of the day is spent outdoors, the children enjoy watching some TV before bed, which gives parents a nice breather too. It's... More

Good location. Very rough road on our way to that hotel. Paid WiFi and very bad signal. No good service and room not very clean. You need to carry your own luggage to your room no one offers that service and there are too many stairs. Not recommend

It's a really good hotel if you want something quite and inside of the jungle, they have a lot of activities like a boat, canoes to use it in the lake, ping pong, an excellent restaurant. BUT it's like 4 km away from the nearest town and if you hire the tours in the hotel are very expensive, you should... More

This is a nice looking hotel with a lovely lakeside location. It's very convenient for a visit to the Tikal Ruins. They just didn't seem geared up for business - not many staff, shop closed, limited bar opening, no pool service, etc. The A La Carte menu was uninspired but the food was well cooked and nicely presented - we... The service could not have been more polite or eager to please. I was impressed with the customer service offered. The rooms were nice, the air conditioning reliable, and the view from my room was spectacular. The public areas are nicely styled and comfortable. There is a grassy beach area, a mid sized pool, a breezy bar area and a dubious... More
