The pub is in a urban, not very smart area but as a B&B is was absolutely fine. We had supper in the pub, in the rather smart extension with wonderful views. We much appreciated being advised away from the bought in beef burger towards the home cooked offerings; the beef sandwich being particularly good.We stayed in the rooms opposite... More

This was the second time that I enjoyed the hospitality of this place. This year I wasn'T able to use the great rent a mountain bike tour option. But I had some nice hours in the pub with its open minded guests and landlord. This is much more relaxing than other anonymous hotels. Breakfast is great and prices fair.

We stayed in the house across the road in a double. It was comfortable, warm and adequately equipped. Everything was immaculate. There was no one else staying in the building, & it was very quiet. The staff were very friendly, & the breakfast large, well presented, & saw us through the day. Very conveniently situated, between the Jolly Sailor, &... More

This accomodation was sparkling clean, the breakfast and evening staff could not do enough for you, the food was excellent, what a fantastic break. Other customers exceedingly friendly, ample parking which can be difficult in that area The Cross Family

We stayed one night at the boot and shoe, late notice yet still more than happy to put us up. The place was well presented and newly refurbished, greeted with happy faces and a drink! The kitchen had closed but they were kind enough to cook us anything on the menu and a packed lunch for the next day as... More

We booked here because of its proximity to an event we were attending. We had a friendly welcome. The bedrooms we were given were pretty and homely - very clean. The owners were helpful and cheerful with a good sense of humour. We would definitely stay again if we come to this area.

Stayed here while on business as my customer recommended it! The room was surprisingly modern and very clean. The bed was very comfy and the room has all you need for an over night stay. The shower room was very new and the shower was very powerful and hot. The pub itself is very friendly and both the staff and... More
