For 15 yrs we have travelled through Europe, from capital cities to quaint alpine villages, but we have never experienced the awful treatment we received from the staff at this hotel. We arrived in Giengen at about 5pm to visit the Steiff Museum the following day. In the deserted town square we entered the Hotel Lamm to ask if a... More

We stayed here 3 nights, the little square is quaint and the churches beautiful. As someone else said, the bells toll most of the night, so take earplugs! Also, sleeping with the windows open also invites the nightly bar revelers noise after midnight. Again-ear plugs are helpful. The beds are hard, the pillows almost totally flat. We asked for more... Overnight stay only thankfully! The hotel is very central, but sited far too close to the town bells which seemed to go on till 2300 then start up again at 0600. This coupled with traffic noises, the dated decor, stains on furnishings, and the apparently one and only (overstretched) receptionist/waitress did not provide a pleasant stay. Be warned if you... Located directly on the Jakobsweg route, on the market square and one block from the church; all the sights including the Steiff bear museum are within easy walking distance. Desk staff friendly and helpful. Room modern and well-equipped, spacious for a single. (Carpet was showing signs of wear.) Very limited menu in hotel restaurant due to very large wedding party,... Stopped here overnight on our way to Italy. Good location, not far off the motorway in the centre of a pleasant small town. As it is the home of the Steiff bear there are teddy bears everywhere in the town. The hotel is typically German with traditional furnishings. Parking was available at the rear and there is a lift. The... More

We stayed two nights at the Hotel Lamm and enjoyed it very much. The room was large and the location was convenient to the Steiff Museum. This is not the most modern hotel you will stay at but the surroundings were comfortable. After having spent time at several "designed" hotels, it was very nice to come to a place that... More

We only spent one night en-route to a ski resort, but got a great impression of the little village. Lots of restaurants right across from the hotel, which is located right in the center with private parking. Beds were nice, not too hard as many hotelbeds are. Soft duvets and down pillows. Large rooms, and a great breakfast. Seems to... More
