The Ochsen (Ox) is a charming family run hotel and probably the best option to stay in the Botwar valley. The rooms are rather small, but each of the new rooms has its own boutique style theme and decor. Most of the rooms have been renovated recently and have beautiful modern bath rooms, some of them have a balcony with... More

This is the perfect picturesque hotel when traveling through Germany. Family run and quality maintained but the highlight should be the restaurant which will either introduce you to, or reaffirm your love affair with the regional cuisine that is prepared perfectly. Don;t miss this hotel - it's the entire package in one!

It was a real pleasure to be a guest of Hotel zum Ochsen in Oberstenfeld It's a great family hotel offering very good level of service and accommodation. It has been renewed recently so the rooms are fresh and well arranged but overall traditional local climate has been maintened. It's a great mixture of tradition and the modern style. The... More

The hotel lies in the center of the town, right next to a medieval church absolutely worth seeing. The rooms are nice and comfortable, breakfast is a treatt, and service is great. But the center of gravity here is the restaurant: very fine local cuisine with very fine local wines. Book a table in advance, the placce is very popular... More

Nice stay for a business trip: the hotel is hidden a ~10km distance from Autobahn A81 in the small town of Oberstenfeld. Parking is possible close to the hotel. Reception is perfectly organized and very helpful (on request I got a corkscrew). Accidentally, I locked out myself and there was nobody at the reception anymore at that time. Nevertheless, a... Nice (seems to be small) hotel located in town with a very friendly staff. Rooms are quite big and nice. I had dinner at the hotel and I found exquisite the regional food (maultaschen + grilled meat). Slightly worse the breakfast served in a cold room and not at the German standards. Overall a good experience. Price: the room was... More

Nice hotel in the middel of town. Newly renovated. Nice and clean. Friendly staff, spoke good english. The breakfast was ok. We had a little problem to find the entrance, that was a little hidden. Had a balcony witn nice flower outside and chairs and table. Nice place to sit and relax. Very quiet, except at church time on Sunday.

The hotel rooms have been renovated and we advise to chose the more expensive room. The design is cool and the bathroom is spotless clean. The restaurant attached to the hotel has won many gourmet stars and is famous in the region for it´s local specialities. We celebrate there once every year. It is around the corner of Heilbronn and... More

It's in an elegant and cosy building in the town centre, with both an old and a new part. We stayed in a room in the new part of the hotel: it was very well decorated, clean, with a very comfortable bed just in front of a big wooden balcony with table and chairs. The bathroom was clean, with a... More
