Wild Chalet Resort, spread across 9.5 acres. It is a Bird watcher's paradise. Top class hospitality service. The staff is enthusiastic and love to take care of their guests. They surprised us with a cake during dinner as it was our anniversary. Resort offers great food and their masala chai is a must try. The property overlooks a river and... More

Absolutely brilliant setting, the chalets overlook a wonderful river teeming with birds. The hotel grounds are also filled with a wide variety of birds and the manager, Anakul, is a mine of information - it was no trouble at all for him to spend hours guiding us around the area and chatting about the local wildlife - wonderful man! He... More

This resort with its individual cabins is located above the scenic Banjar River. My cabin was a "bit worn" but clean and comfortable. The delicious buffet brunches and dinners were served in an open sided dining room. Though the dining room setting was attractive with its open view, it was chilly dining once the sun set. One afternoon we hiked... More

t was our first anniversary and we decided to visit kanha to celebrate this special occassion. After doing a lot of research and speaking to many hotel managers in Kanha, we decided to book this place. We stayed here for two nights, three days and I have to admit it was a very good stay. The rooms were neat and... More

Booked a 2 night stay with 3 months advance notice making it clear how I wanted my time at Kanha to pan out in terms of the jungle plan.. Was told on arrival that the associate, Sanchaita, who completed my booking had resigned and they put the blame on the Mumbai booking office for the lack of communication.. While the... More

This resort is very close to the Kanha National Park entrance, and is sited above the banks of the Banjar River. This river is almost dry except for the monsoons, but then can flood quite high. It is very scenic, with huge volcanic boulders, and is great for exploring and viewing wild-life when not on a game drive. During Holi,... More

A good well planned resort on the banks of the river. In the evening, you can enjoy the view on the big rocks in the river and you can also chance to see the elephant from the Kipling Resort when it comes for a bath. Food is good, resort plans bonfires and also local dances on request. Staff is friendly... More

Wild Chalet Resort is a wonderful place to stay when visiting the Kanha National Park. It is close to the Kisli gate entrance. It is situated along the Banjar river and has spacious and well appointed cottages. Each has a sit-out from where one can commune with nature; some of the cottages have a wonderful view of the river. This was my second stay at this indeed nice resort, with a *very* hospitable staff and excellent food. The jungle (Kanha National Park) is one of the best in the world for tiger sightings. The size of the park gives plenty of room for a feeling of privacy compared to Bandhavgarh and Ranthambore.
