Looked for a cheap place to stay in Banlung and decided to stay at this place because was more or less close to the city center and cheap. We didn't have contact with any person of the stuff except a little cute girl who was probably 12. She showed us the room and after asking a few time got the... More

We had a double room for 5 dollar a night, witch sounds cheap. But both the staff and the food was terrible. They had only ingredients to max. 30% of what was on the menu. The rooms were very dirty with spiderwebs and cockroaches and the staff appeared very unprofessional. You can easily find a much better place for only... More

I stated at the Backpacker Pad for three days in March, 2014 and paid $4 per night for a double room with bathroom. The room was spartan, but for $4 it was a bargain. The good was inexpensive and very good. The manager's son in law gave me two days of touring on his motor scooter and I had a... More

The rooms are very basic and not too clean but it is the standard you would expect for the price you pay. Very nice owner, well organised trips. We went trekking for two days and a night and had a very experienced, knowledgeable guide. The food is delicious too, some of the best dishes we have had in Cambodia. You... More

Stayed in this hostel for 2 nights to visit the crater lake and three of the waterfalls near Banlung. The hostel is actually one big shed in which several private rooms have been created as well as a dorm room with 4 beds next to each other (no bunks!). The private room was decent. Besides some spider webs in a... More

The room was pretty decent at the asking price of $2/nt, but the staff were terrible. I had heard that the owner was really nice, but he was nowhere to be seen the entire time I was in Banlung. The food at this place is really bad, so I would highly suggest heading into the city to Gecko's or A'dam.... More

On first appearances this place is good. Rooms are clean, has a social area at the front. Near to the lake and reasonably near to town centre, however streets are very poorly lit making is difficult to go out at night and restaurant is more expensive than local options. Do not rent bikes from them. Bikes are in very poor... More

Convenient location a few minutes walk off the center. Rooms are basic and safe. Many trekking trips are offered as are minibus services to Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. The owner Sophat is a really sound bloke who cares a lot about the environment and the local communities. Top choice!

At $4 for a room with two double beds, it doesn't get any cheaper than this. The rooms are clean but it kind of feels like a closet converted into a room. Can't expect much for the price. The food is also good. The place isn't located around the lake and with little to no lights or tuk tuks in... More

ANd as others commented, mr.sophat is an educted businessman that knows how to help you but his trekking is not about seing jungle or wildlife but more having a good time with really friendly guys in forest close to a natural...
