Food was great as was the friendly manager, Pheak. The menu had a great selection of Khmer and western food. The burgers are recommended especially Pork and Lemongrass. The kids were impressed with the quality of the western food We also booked a tour with the owner, Pheak whose English is excellent - a very friendly guy.

We had 2 breakfasts and one dinner here and the food was great. Big portions and excellent local food for dinner. The owners are also really friendly and help with buses and trips even if you are not staying. Good value and friendly service, plus snooker and darts if you want!

We are a couple in our late 20's backpacking & this was our first stop in Cambodia. There's not a huge amount of choice in Banlung but for a little more than the $7 to stay here you could get better. Positives: The room was only $7 per night with hot water and a relatively comfortable bed. The communal area... More

The manager in his 20s is an extremely aggressive guy who threatens his customers and even raises his hand as he apparently cannot control himself. He is clearly not able to manage this place. The rooms are very dirty, the staff hardly seems to clean them. There are web cobs everywhere, like other reviews mentioned lots of ants and other... More

Rooms are just Ok, you get what you pay. I'm not happy at all with staff at reception desk (in the restaurant). After a small misunderstanding with them the first day, they were not helpful at all. Since I was leaving Cambodia, I tried to give them all my Riel last day, and had to pay yet 2 USD. I... More

I didn't stay here for our visit to Banlung, but it was next door to our hotel (which didn't have a restaurant), so we spent time here for food and drinks. Nikki, Patrice and the staff were excellent hosts, and the bar is a great place to hang out, and hook up with other people for treks etc. The food... More

This is a review of just the dorm. The dorm sleeps 4 and costs $2 a night. A few minutes by motorbike from the town centre on the edge of the lake. Cons: Very old and smelly linen, blankets and pillows. Only two very sloppy fitting powerpoints in the room which are very high off the ground. The room has... More

Spent 4 nights here with my boyfriend. Amazing value at $5 a night for the room with private bathroom, hot water and fan. Very clean. The building used to be the residence of the town's governor so it has wonderful wood panelling, grand furniture and a special feel - note this is only for the upstairs rooms, the downstairs rooms... The restaurant at ban lung had great cheap food. There is also a large flat screen tv if you wanna watch some movies. It's also a great place to see the sunset over the lake. The rooms are ok and worth the $7 (with hot water). They're not too clean but you can't expect too much for the price. My... More
