Everything was good - Food was excellent - Shirley especially recommends the Belly Pork. Breakfast kept us going all day.. The room was comfortable, we had no problems with noise from next door and we found the bed comfortable

This is a little different to the normal type that you expect single storey accommodation with a exceptional quality pub restaurant with good real ales and very good food the staff are very helpful excellent.

We were particularly impressed with the night receptionist who went out of his way to help us when we lost our car keys. The hotel is in a pleasant locality and the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Only major problem was noisy bathroom fan - as we were only staying one night it did not bother us too much.... Well outfitted rooms in blocks of two in what look like converted stables. Comfortable rooms with all the facilities expected. Glad Premier now have free wi-fi. Adjacent pub provided comprehensive breakfast. Definitely recommended for anyone visiting the area. Only small downside, as others have mentioned, is that when the occupants of the other room in the block of two come... More

Stayed in the Premier Inn Mackworth from Feb. 24th - Feb. 25th. Room next to Pub and Reception was very noisy. Asked for a quieter room at check-in but did not succeed. Breakfast was a desaster. Service as well as quality of food. In the end though I did not have to pay either for the room nor for breakfast.

The room was a great size and lovely and clean and bright. Sadly though the bed was incredibly hard, and after viewing their ad's I expected much softer good quality mattresses. The pillows were also rather hard, and it said there were softer ones in the wardrobe, but they seemed to be about the same! However, the worst aspect was... More

Stayed for a night and generally acceptable but the place does need modernizing. The bed is not the new type and was too hard. The heating makes a loud noise each time it switches on which does disturb sleep but the main gripe was that there's no heating in the bathroom which was freezing. It seems ridiculous to have a... stayed for 2 nights for valentines weekend, great location, great rooms, like a motel, 2 rooms sharing a entrance porch, no noise what so ever, room was spacious, clean and modern, flat screen TV with USB and HD ports, 2 heaters and easy to control temperature, friendly reception staff, gave good directions to town, free car parking on site right... Having stayed in many different Premier Inn's I was disappointed to find this one didn't meet the usual 5 star standard I have come to expect. The Wi-Fi signal was too poor to connect to, and we were only 5 doors down from reception. I did query this and was told the signal wasn't that great normally. The room itself... More

what a great little find, unusual setting in a stable block with ample parking and lovely oldie worldy pub/restuant.perfect location.staff was really friendly both at the reception and the bar. Clean spacious rooms, nice & warm, but noisy heaters, which kept us awake ,along with noisy neighbours coming in at 4 a.m,which I understand is not the fault of the... More
