Went for a lunch after a long drive. Large sized portion and speedy service. Very nice atmosphere, and the staff were very friendly. We both had scampi with peas and sweet potato fries which were lovely. Would recommend as a good pub type restaurant.

Revisit for us to this wonderful pub which we haven't managed to get back to for a while. The decor has changed and it looks lovely as always. Cosy, relaxed atmosphere with polite and friendly staff. The Sunday lunch menu is lovely with a choice of either a Sunday roast with a choice of meats or you can choose from... More

We stayed here for 2 nights this month. Service from the beginning was fab, I had only booked for one night and rang a few days before we arrived to see if I could stay an extra night, the Manager, Luke, was so accommodating and helpful. When we arrived the staff were welcoming and attentive. The room was lovely, fairly... More

Arrived late and had a lovely welcome. We had a comfortable stay and fantastic breakfast. Service was fab throughout with nothing too much trouble even when we were late for breakfast. Great location by the river and wished we could have stayed longer

Stayed previously when it was managed by Lynn - refurbished in January and this was the first time I had visited since the refurbishment. Disappointed to say the least. Although the pub has undergone serious improvements in the decor the bedrooms remain unchanged, stained carpets, and very, very hard pillows. We used to get nice biscuits and hot chocolate in... Nice location by the river. Recently refurbished. Good solid puib grub at a reasonable price and a good range of beers. Fine for a stop after a long walk. The beer garden is a good size and the location is great. Careful when you go out to the beer gharden as you have to cross a lane. Beer garden is... More

Excellent service, food and surroundings. Well worth a visit. Good range of beers and fantastic range of food. Some lovely garden tables in extensive beer garden. Rotisserie was very good - lots of choice and good to see it being cooked. All in all a nice place to eat, drink and take the family.

Fabulous setting now with lovely interior design and décor, an absolutely pleasure to visit. Have visited socially and for meeting purposes and as always, staff polite, friendly and interested. Great menu choice, served promptly and delicious for every meal ordered. Nothing is too much trouble. Great family venue too. Definitely recommend.
