I made a reservation for my stay in Alsace for 3 people via e-mail. The owner, Martine, informed me that she reserved a small 2-bedroom flat for us. I really thought that it was going to be small, but it wasn’t. This was indeed a 2-bedroom apartment with a big master bedroom, and a smaller bedroom ; there were also... More

This B&B is the most idyllic place. Martine and her beautiful B&B are perfect. Stay here for the most amazing Alsace break. We stayed in the suite and while staying we booked our next trip for July- it really is that fantastic! Breakfast is fab and the whole of the region is just around the corner but in Zellenberg you... What a perfect place for our vacation. This beautiful property sits at the top of the quiet Zellenberg village, overlooking this part of Alsace. Breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards and the Vosges mountains. A perfect location in the middle of so many beautiful Alsatian towns (many with Grand Crus). We walked to 5 other nearby towns during our stay.... More

We stayed for 2 nights at Clos Froehn and it was a wonderful from the moment I booked until we left. Martine is a wonderful and friendly host, nothing is too much to ask including arranging for a bottle of chilled wine to be ready for our arrival. We stayed in the Riesling Room which was refurbished over the winter... More

Stayed here for one night on the way through Alsace. As a change from the "chains" you really cannot fault this place. It s off a small square at the top of the village. Although they had road works on the way up it was easy to find somewhere to park. Large room ( even although I was on my... More

We spent 3 nights in Clos Froehn at the end of October and have only words of praise for the place and its hosts. Zellenberg is still untouched by tourism and is a charming village , so close to its more famous relatives - Riquewihr, Kayserberg. Ribeauville, Colmar. The house is charming and has an old picturesque tower. We took... More

Clos Froehn in Zellenberg was hands down our favorite B&B and probably our favorite stop in our France/Switzerland adventure. Zellenberg makes you feel like you have stepped back in time... it is quiet, serene and relaxing. Set up on a hill up above dozens of vineyards, you will find yourself lost in a Hansel and Gretel fairytale. The house Clos... More

Martine was a most charming host. We looked forward to talking with her each day. Very nice, spacious room with an adjoining living room and kitchen. Very clean and comfortable. Beautiful French breakfast served in a lovely dining room or outside in the garden. Easy walking to Riquewihr through the vineyards. Great area for walking.-a very restful vacation. Would definitely... More

Great value for money in the middle of Route du vin, very well located also for daily trips to Colmar, Strasbourg, the Vosges and Freiburg. The B&B is located in an ancient, charming house, very well restored: we had the smallest room, which was still absolutely adequate for our needs - beautifully decorated and plenty of facilities and amenities, which... We had some trouble finding Clos Froehn even with the Google map and the fact that Zellenberg has one street up the hill and another back down. The house is set off a square at the top of the hill with usually adequate parking if you get back early and has only a tiny little name next to the gate.... More
