Accommodation is to tt the rear of the hotel in a single storey extension. Breakfast is in the ancient dining area of the main building and the food is excellent. Free parking is immediately next to the hotel grounds. Wi-fi is available free of charge but is a little hit and miss relying on plug in, signal boosters. There were... More

We chanced upon this place for an overnight stop en route from Spain to Calais. It is just a few moments from the A75 autoroute but don't assume it is just another motorway b&b. We opted to share the evening meal and upon arrival were greeted with a delicious aperitif. What followed was like being invited to an evening meal... More

We were somewhat disappointed, having read all the rave reviews. The bed was not very comfortable for a start, which is at least half of what a B and B is about. The cooking was good, but the menu showed little imagination, with Duck in the starter and main course and Cheese in three of the courses. The company of... More

Thank you for your opinion. Our rooms are simple but clean, comfortable and with good quality beds. They all have access to the garden. Yes they are in rows, but our house is very old and we have kept the original architecture. The rooms are old stables and whe kept them in the original way. They all have a diferent... More

A charming B&B in the town of Le Caylar and close to La Couvertoirade and other points of interest. The dinner is quite incredible and the best food for miles around. A lovely little garden outside your room is ideal for cocktails or morning coffee.

Another glowing recommendation for Martine and Guy's place! La Caylor is lovely with loads to do in and around - on arrival Martine suggested that we night like to visit a nearby village built by the Knight's Templar. We did and it was superb! Dinner with Martine, Guy and the other guests was amazing! We started with a lovely aperitif... More

We have just had a wonderful stay at Guy & Martine's B&B, Le Barry du Grand Chemin. Our rooms were comfortable, clean, nicely decorated & with a modern bathroom. The beds were comfortable & we had a good night's sleep. The highlight was dinner with our fellow guests & Martine hosting dinner with Guy cooking delicious, well presented courses. Entertainment... This was exactly what we wanted out of a quaint French countryside B&B. Our room was clean and well kept, the town was lovely and the home made jams with breakfast were delicious! The couple who run the B&B were incredibly friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here!

We have stayed at least 10 times over the past six years and have never been dissapointed. The food is excellent and far, far above the standard one would expect. The hospitality and friendliness of the hosts is most welcoming. The evening meal is a social experience not to be missed. It is more like a family experience than that... More

This was our second visit as we stayed in June, as well. We were travelling from Dieppe to Marseillan and La Caylar is a good departure point for completing the journey. On both occasions we opted to join the guest table for dinner - a wise decision! The setting is convivial and all the guests we met were nice people... More
