After a very long journey north we stayed for one night on the way to Le Havre. Room was in great need of refurbishment and very disappointing en suite, broken shower, mouldy tiles and a very unpleasant smell generally. We could not bring ourselves to eat in the restaurant or eat breakfast there.

The address is certainly 1 Chaussee du Roy. But it is in La Riviere which is part of Thibouville. Parking is at the rear and some alongside the front of the hotel which we used. Our bedroom was adequate for one night but the decor was very tired, it was on the ground floor which was very helpful. The other... More

Le Soloro is a small hotel in a delightful village in Lower Normandy. We stopped here for one night on the way back to Calais. The hotel is in a very old building, if you like quaint you will love it. We paid a little extra for a deluxe room and it was well worth the extra £5.00 or so.... More

We travel down through France fairly often and we stayed at Le Soloro for one night. We had a friendly greeting, and all the staff were very helpful. The bedroom was spacious and basically furnished, but very clean. The bathroom was huge and the two of us had our very own sink. We dined in the restaurant which had a... More

We arrived at Le Soloro on a misty dark November evening. Whilst unloading the car in the car park at the rear of the hotel our host appeared at the top of the stairs to welcome us in via the rear entrance. What a charming and cheerful chap he is! After spending 8hrs driving we immediately felt at home. The... More

We chose this place as a stopover during our trip back to Calais (about 3 hours away) - the surrounding countryside is beautiful, the village the hotel is in has some nice parts (also a boulangerie & another restaurant). The proprietor was an eccentric fellow (he had his painting studio in the dining room) but jolly with it, the hotel... More

This was to be a simple overnight stop on our way back to Le Havre but certainly exceeded expectations. It proved a welcome change from the commercial hotels with loads of character and a superb meal. The accommodation was spacious with good off road parking. Definitely worth more than a one night stay.

An odd, charming little oasis, quite near an industrial estate but it feels like the depth of the country, with a large garden which is mostly orchard where you can sit on the lawn beside the river. The old part of the building, which contains the bar and restaurant, is old-fashioned Norman style tastefully renovated. Our bedroom, in the more... More

I stayed at Le Soloro for just one night as part of a cycling tour around northern France. Everybody was very welcoming. The room was comfortable and nicely equipped, with a lovely big bath to rest my aching legs. The Hotel itself is charming. I stayed for the evening meal, which was far better than I had expected - top... More
