When you have a bunch of kids ranging from 3 yrs old to 10 yrs old and adults who never lost the child like glee around animals, where do you go to - Macka's Farm off course !! Spent 3 nights in Lodge 2 with our 2 boys, 2 and 4. They loved watching Macka milk the cows and walking around to feed all the animals. We were lucky to see piglets born. Hosts are very friendly and our 4 year old didn't want to leave.

We stayed at the farm for one night with our five-year-old daughter. We were very excited about this opportunity to stay at an Aussie farm doing all kinds of farm activities, however, we were a little bit disappointed. The "farm activiteis" in the morning are rather quick and very simple, which includes feeding milk to baby cows, and a couple... More

Macka is up by 5am and milks his herd of cows around 6am and 4.30pm. And sometimes doesn't finish till 7pm. So do excuse the very busy farmer if he doesn't hold your hand and show you the farm like a tour agent. His wife, Trudi, is the hospitality side, who will explain patiently and show guests around the farm,... More

I took my family to Macka's farm for a week stay this December. When Trudi told me that there's poor or almost no Internet reception I wonder if I could survive the days there unconnected to the rest of the world especially with office work. It proved to be the best decision indeed to be stayed free from accessing emails... More

We were at Macka's Farm from 24-26 November 2014. Family of 5; 2 adults, 3 kids 13, 11 and 7. Stayed at Lodge 3 which was more than sufficient in terms of space. The farm has a good array of animals which kept the kids interested and occupied with. John, my youngest, fell in love with Andy the dog and... More

We stayed over at Lodge 2 together with our two kids, 12 & 10. Macka and Julie were fantastic host . They showed us round the farm and got us involved in the daily feeding of the cows, sheep, alpacas , pigs and chickens . The kids had fun playing with the dogs Andy and Jack and the cat too.... If you like animals, if you want to spend time in a real australian milking farm, this is the place to go. There is so much to do and see on the farm. On a short driving distance there is some wonderful small producers (chocolate, wine, cheese...) and the ocean coast: the twelve apostles, Loch Ard Gorge etc It is... More

I stayed at Macka's Farm with my wife and two sons (12 & 10 years old). Macka and Trudy made us feel very welcome on their wonderful farm. The lodges are very comfortable, there were plenty of animals and we were all allowed to get involved with the daily life of the farm. We had a magnificent time and hope... More

We loved the place and lodging. The lodge we stayed were big and equipped! It's a working farm so in the evening we get to see all cows "come home" and be milked! A very homely place to stay for your time in GOR!
