We spent a Sunday night here as a special treat. The inn is an extremely picturesque pub serving beer direct from the barrel in a village of outstanding beauty. Rooms are pleasant and the welcome warm. The restaurent appears to be the main focus of the pub, is clrarly popular and has an excellent reputation. We found it disappointing therefore... More

I stayed at the Brace of Pheasants for one night with my boyfriend and we wished we'd stayed here longer! We ate in the pub for our evening meal and it was a lovely meal. We stayed in room 3 which was beautifully decorated, clean and had a lovely farmhouse vibe to it. The bathroom was amazing too, with the... More

Just spent two nights in room 2 set in the annexe. Room was very nice with a super, big bed and the biggest bath I've ever seen.. We ate in the pub both nights and the food was top drawer. There's a blackboard menu of specials and a standard menu. My wife and I chose from both and were pleased... More

Thank goodness places like this still exist! It lifted my spirits. We checked in yesterday afternoon, as we were at a party in the area last night. The setting is truly beautiful, peaceful and tucked away. The pub has not been 'done' and all the better for that. The landlord offered a warm and efficient welcome, the fire was lit... More

its quite secluded but is a beautiful place to stay, we stayef in a room in the cottage, the interior decor is stunning and modern and the bath was amazing, me and my hubby both fitted in with plenty of room! drinks are fairly priced, food was quite pricey so we ate out a few miles down the road, staff... A lovely Sunday lunch was consumed by myself, my wife and our two girls. The new chef of two years has grasped and adapted the menu to suit the pallet of the locals, particularly the game and fish dishes. I had pheasant strips deep fried in a batter and fennel mix followed by the confit of duck. All washed down... More

This was just what I wanted. Cosy pub, quiet location, very nice, warm comfortable room, good food, friendly staff. Plush is a tiny village tucked away in rural Dorset but within easy reach of the coast and Sherborne and Dorchester (for Hardy enthusiasts). I'd go back again.

What a fab place to stay. All the rooms are well thought out everything you could ask for and more. We have always only stayed in top class hotels. This has shown us inns like this offered far more. And with extra added touches. well done !

Great January get-away break to this lovely pub with a room booked out back in the former skittle alley. We were the only guests - which suited us perfectly. Food was excellent and our three course meal with wine and desert wine was exceptionally reasonably priced (for us townies). The venison steak and supreme of guinea fowl were both fantastic.... More
