What a lovely weekend in quirky room with Japanese bath (7), great locally sourced food, and friendly and obliging staff. Very remote but close to lovely walks with drink waiting when we got back. Recommend highly.

We stayed in room 2 in the skittle alley btn 8-11 Dec We were pleasantly surprised with how much space we had. Lovely big bed and great bath/shower. Had breakfast on 2 of the 3 mornings. We slept in on our last day. We ate at the pub for the first night only. The food was great having venison burger... More

We stayed on a Groupon deal for 3 nights at the BOP, it was just so enjoyable. Lovely welcome, given keys to Room 1 in the old skittle alley, it was lovely, immaculate, with a massive walk in shower. Complmentary water, tea tray, tioletries and fluffy towels. We ate in the pub for the duration of our stay and were not... More

This place is pretty much in the middle of nowhere which is great if you want to get away from it all and have a relaxing time with the opportunity for some great walks on the doorstep. We received a very warm welcome on arrival and the service from everyone at the Brace of Pheasants really was superb for the... More

There are two Tripadvisor entries for this pub with rooms - this one for accomodation and another as a restaurant. The score for accomodation and the restaurant are poles apart so I've made a seperate review of the restaurant. The accomodation is stunningly good. The rooms beautifully decorated and furnished, spacious and with Sky boxes. The staff warm and welcoming.... More

I have been driving on my way to work, passing the sign in Piddletrenthide for the Brace of Pheasants for some 2 years now. We decided to go out for a meal and thought we'd give it a try. As it's game season, we chose the excellent dishes available and were not disappointed. The food was simply gorgeous! It was... More

We stayed here for 1 night and had dinner there too. Absolutely fantastic! Room was excellent standard and food delicious. Phil made us feel very welcome and will definitely return there hopefully over this Christmas holiday. Lovely area to go for walks too.

Re-visited this pub for the first time in 40+ years, spent 3 nights on a B & B basis, the rooms were spacious and the beds exceptionally comfortable. All the staff we encountered were efficient, friendly and accommodating. Breakfasts were really well cooked with local produce. We ate there on all 3 evenings, again food was good but if you... Do not be put off by its location; yes, it is quite isolated but what a beautiful spot. Quite easy to explore outstanding Dorset Coastline and numerous National Trust properties from. Rooms are well appointed, warm, clean and a good size - especially the bathroom! Remember to hang towels up - they don't get changed over a 3 night break.... More
