Colleague of mine was staying here in this resort. Resort was looking good. Drank and ate here one night. Food was good! Beautiful view over the ocean and staff is very friendly. Resort is quite remote, but we had a car, so that was no problem for us.

Four nights relaxing on the beaches of Zanzibar was just what was needed to recover from 10 nights safari. Life's tough!!! The bathrooms are a bit tired and close to needing renovation and the bed was hard and uncomfortable, but these were balanced by good, attentive staff, good food and good location.

We spend 10 days and nights in this wonderful resort and it was never boring for a second. All days began with sunshine above the lovely unspoiled beach with coming and going warm Indian Ocean. Ever a gentle warm wind and beautiful blue sky. Let's say .... that`s how paradise must be ;-) Every morning began with a warm and... More

Very good if you want to enjoy beauty, rest and privacy! Beaches are unspoiled and room was very nice, including airco, personell was very friendly and seafood was delisious! Pool is amazing with excellent view on the sea.

After a safari and visit to the Masai in Tanzania, this hotel was a welcome rest and relaxation to introduce us to Zanzibar. We felt like we arrived in paradise. We were fortunate to have beach facing cottages which were clean, well appointed with hot showers and lovely decor. Charles the manager was very hands on, addressing our every need... More

I stayed at Ras Michamvi with 6 other guests while traveling through Tanzania shooting a documentary, 2 nights here in total. The location is very private; on the small peninsula on the East side of Unguja. We did not see masses of tourists but instead had the feeling that the entire island was ours. Waking up with the sun rising... More

My wife and I Spent 3 memorable nights at Ras Michamvi in July. Enjoyed the views, the very private and quiet pool, spacious and clean rooms, good food and the friendly service. Very understanding management that even accomodated unique payment challenges. We will definitely be back when we can.

Spent our honeymoon at Ras. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff are very friendly, though we had the advantage of speaking Swahili. The meals are our memory. We really enjoyed the meals. So I would not advice one to overstay if you are keen on your weight. The restaurant is also nicely set overlooking the ocean. The rooms are... More

We spent 11 days at Ras Michamvi. Good points - Clean large rooms, fridge, AC, fan, very friendly staff especially Nassor the receptionist who gave us plenty of help, beach towels, great infinity pool, 2 beaches, good food and nice dining area, a troop of monkeys lived near the hotel. Not so good points - Only possible to swim in... More
