What an amazing place to relax!!! You will understand what is the truly meaning of HAKUNA MATATA! I stayed there for 2 nights/3days and i wish to be there for more time! We stayed at this resort in December, low season, and consequently it was very quiet, with only another couple there. Its isolated location is great if you want some privacy, peace and quiet away from crowds and long walks on powder white beaches fringed with coral reefs. But this might not suit everyone, as the resort is far from Stone... More

We visited Zanzibar in November 2014 and stayed at Ras Michamvi for a week. It is on the east side of the island, which is the most sunniest part especially during small rain saison. We didn't see a drop of rain ;-) The accommodation was great, a pool with a great sea view to a private beach and lovely staff.... More

Ras Michamvi is a bit of a hike from either the ferry, or the airport, but it's worth it. It's the kind of place that you go to when you want to get away from it all- and Ras Michamvi has quiet and solitude in spades. We visited in May- so this was presumably low season as we were perhaps... More

Like the title says, the great view is the first thing that hits you. Ras Michamwi lies at the top of a cliff overlookibg the sea, with 180 degree views of the turquoise waters. The views are best seen from the restaurant where breakfast, lunch and dinner is served. As with all places, there are some plus and minuses: On... More

Being an expat and working in Dar I visited Zanzibar last September for 4 weeks and stayed at Raz Michamvi for a week, among other places. Coming back to Zanzibar for a weeks break in the new year, there was one place I wanted to come back to again. The location is great for getting away from it all. The... More

We stayed here for three nights. Good location near the Indean Ocean. Though a bit isolated from the rest of the island. If you are in search of sun, beach and rest, a toplocation. Our room with oceanview was spacious and clean. The bathroom a bit old fashioned, though also tidy and large. Garden, swimming pool, restaurant and beaches are... More

This has been a lovely experience. The staff is amazingly kind and accommodating. Everyone was so friendly and made us feel right at home. Manyama, Elizabeth, Mwanaidi, Tatu (masseuse and henna expert) and everyone, from the lovely receptionists to the genius barman and the top notch chef twakushukuru. The activities highlighted in the hotel brochure are a sure plan. We... More

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. Due to airline complications we arrived here a day early but the manager, Charles, was able to get us in early! Charles was very helpful and friendly. This hotel is like no other! The grounds are gorgeous...words/pictures can't begin to describe the beauty here. It was like we were... More
