We were walking from Settle to Appleby and this was our final night. We had just come over the Howgills from Sedbergh and were welcomed at Brownber with delicious home made cakes and tea on the south facing terrace. Thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the sunshine looking out at the wonderful view. Very comfortable bedroom with an especially good shower. Excellent breakfast. Hilary and Drew were caring and attentive hosts. Hope very much to be back soon to do some more walking.

Lovely stay due to the comfortable room, enthusiatsic and knowledgable host and great breakfast (esp the scrambled eggs!!!). Spent a day walking up Green Bell and then the following morning a relaxed stroll to the nearby viaduct, which we would highly recommend.
