Very relaxing place managed by easy going staff, kind and friendly, I think it's worth to get back again, also for the position near to Gallipoli in the countryside. We had 3 tasty breakfasts, with genuine food

Had a fantastic stay here. Very friendly and helpful staff. Helped with Lido bookings, put up with my terrible Italian, held on to lost passports for us and provided wonderful breakfasts. My children want bomboloni every day now! Very well located for great beaches, we loved Coco Loco and Ete Ribioli. Family room was great, two bedrooms, open plan kitchen/diner/lounge... More

A lovely setting, hotel is spotlessly clean and recently refurbished. We had a room in the main hotel spacious, it did lack a picture or two and some drawers but other than than lovely. The staff really make this hotel this is too much trouble for them and they are all pleasant and friendly. You do need a car though... More

We spent a week at the Tenuta in September 2012, we find it lovely, peaceful and very relaxing. We had a huge balcony from which you could enjoy the evening breeze and a view to the towns nearby. The room was spacious, very clean. The breakfast was also very good, especially the cakes ( eight or so varieties) A plus... More

this is a real find! beautiful huge grounds with horses, outhouses, a pool and lovely main building. we found it on internet and got a very reasonable price - the cheaper rooms are in the main building. the building of the pool-bar houses other rooms, and the little 'trullis' around the pool have the apartments. the staff are lovely, the... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tenuta la Baronessa lies on 12 hectares of Mediterranean maquis. Centuries-old olive trees, rosemary, sage and other fragrances will capture your sense of smell. A walk in the park will offer you unique and totally relaxed moments, enjoying the tranquility of a real oasis among the olive trees. Not far from Gallipoli, its strategic location in the heart of the Salento, allows you to alternate moments of relaxation, pampered by the peacefulness of nature, in search of the many adventurous moments of leisure, of which the ion side of Salento is generous. The property was founded in 2006 on a land dedicated to vineyards called “La Baronessa”, hence the name of the estate. From the renovation of the great and ancient rural home, was born a beautiful farmhouse, overlooking the pool and inside of which there are eight rooms, including De Luxe and Suite rooms. The 4 **** Hotel, with the recent renovation, has changed its “look”, enriched with decorations of stones from Lecce, that give a more refined touch to the property. Among the olive trees arise the peculiar colored buildings called Case a Corte (Courtyard Houses), the sympathetic review of ancient buildings with Lebanese roots or of the “trulli” of Puglia. ... more   less
